Quotetreaclefingers QuoteJimmy C I know. I was thrilled to get the solid color vinyl version in the Stones in Mono Box. AND I have the 50th version. Yet this marble RSD release does really look cool... Sorry, messed up, this was in reply to this above: Good God a fool and his money are soon parted!!! How many times must we buy this same stuff!?!? LOL. Very much like the marble vinyl look of BB

I'm guessing Andrew Watt producing maybe very polarizing for some, but I think that's great news. They need someone new. And I think he has done great work overall on the last two Ozzy Osbourne records. And the Paul and Ringo contribution will definitely be interesting.

Absolutely love the first few records I’ve tried in this set so far. Then last night I put on Let it Bleed. Far inferior in my opinion to the stereo version. Was there actually a mono mix of this album in 1969, or is this just a fold down to complete this set?

I woke up a year ago today in the US with a text from my daughter in the UK sharing the announcement that Charlie couldn't make the tour. And my immediate response was oh no, this feels like Dusty Hill all over again. Then that changed to hope that maybe he'd make later dates, and then a few weeks later to complete shock...Can't believe it's almost been a year.

Not sure how long they've been up, but just noticed Spotify and Apple Music now appear to have all of Charlie's jazz albums up, all the way back to From One Charlie. And that Rocket 88 album is also on there.

Has this ever been discussed here before? Guitarist Jimmy Rip says Wandering Spirit first recorded with Charlie back in 1988 and then shelved and re-recorded twice after Steel Wheels Tour.

Had Ronnie's side in Minneapolis. Check your email, there was a specific entrance for Pit where you get the wrist band. We got to US Stadium maybe 30 minutes before doors and then I realized we were not at the right entrance when I checked my phone. Doors opened as we got in the line at the right spot, but we were still able to get right behind people on the rail. There were people in line w

I bought a second pit ticket for MN on Ticketmaster, and didn't realize it had "Will Call" selected vs E-ticket for my phone. Every time I try and change the delivery method, I get an error from Ticketmaster. Anyone else had this issue? I really don't want the hassle of having to pick up the second ticket at Will Call. What's that been like for other shows? Thanks!

Stumbled upon this last night. I've never heard this before, this is from a Peter Frampton album from 2006. Both Charlie and Bill playing on this track. Is there an all encompassing list of everything outside the Stones he's played on outside of his solo jazz records?

From an interview today with Ringo from the Wall Street Journal: Though they were friends for decades, Ringo Starr was blindsided by the announcement of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts’s death, just like millions of fans world-wide. “I knew he wasn’t doing well, but it was a shock to me,” Mr. Starr said in a Zoom interview just two hours after Mr. Watts’s death was announced. Mr. Star

Heard this for the first time in awhile. Such a great song from 1994 and an amazing band on this track. George and Keith, Leon Russell, Emmylou Harris, Marty Stuart, James Burton, Ricky Skaggs. If you've never heard this I think vocally this is one of Keith's best.

I saw them 8th row on the first night at Alpine Valley. First Stones show for me. I had the same reaction, seeing them in person after seeing them in pictures and on TV pictures for my entire childhood was surreal. I remember seeing Mick on stage and thinking this was the same guy from Altamont and all the other iconic moments with him and now he's like 20 feet away from me. And it was de

If you go to Ronnie's Facebook, or Instagram, he has posted a video of himself reading from some of the books he uses for his own recovery, for those that are unable to make meetings. He reads a piece about hope, and it is quite moving and beautiful in these times.

Saw this tour at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Steel Wheels had that massive intro with pyro, this show started with a dark stage, and a visibly lit cigarette swaggering up from the back, then the lights came up and they kicked into Somethin' Else. It was epic as is the clip from the Boston '93 show above. Could he and should he do this song now with the Stones in his set?

Usually they will note if it’s at least 180 gram vinyl which they have not. I have a vertical turntable so these colored vinyl records are fun to watch spin while they play, but they certainly are not audiophile quality vinyl reissues.
