I was lucky to see the Stones the month before Greensboro at MSG when i was 14, so that was my first Stones show. Smoked my first joint (strawberry rolling papers) with my buddies walking to the train station after High School on the way to the show. My dad came in to the city and drove us home after the show. Also saw Beach Boys & Chicago playing together sometime in spring '75 at MS

I was 15 and my brother and i were dropped off by my mom about 1pm too. Festival seating was crazy. My brother was younger than me so when we ran in we sat on the first row off the floor on Ronnie's side. StonedAsia i think you said you had a boot from that record store in Chapel Hill. Would love to hear that one.

This here for instance is about JM producing one of the best Stones album of all times. And what happened? After 3 posts we land at Johnny Thunder is a pig, heroin, Motorhead... This site was, is and will always be about fun and passion. And n

QuoteStonedAsiaExile In the video clip with Muddy Waters in Chicago, 1981, Keith whips out what looks like a butterfly knife to open a bottle of Jack. He looks pretty damn adept at using it Around the 3 minute mark. ^My favorite part of that film.

I recall a Stanley Booth interview where he said Keith used to listen to Lucille Bogan's Shave 'Em Dry when they were hanging out in 1969 or around then.

Quotejbwelda Is it a coincidence that they went from performing on stage in 72 and 73 to performing around big stupid props in 75? I do not think so, I think they purposely went for the spectacle to cover their ineptitude musically at that point. jb What? So you think a conscious decision was made to add props because they concluded they were "inept" musically in 1975?

QuoteStonedAsiaExile I have a recollection of Etta opening at the Greensboro, NC 26 June 78 show. I know there are some Tarheels here; am I right or just mixed up?? Probably the latter lol StonedAsia - i don't recall who opened in Greensboro '78 but i wanted to ask you about a previous post you made regarding the '75 Greensboro show. You said you bought the bootleg '75 G

Quotedaspyknows Reading this thread it is easy to pick out those who fall on the dividing line of the symbols represent history and not meant to be racist and those who are flat out racists. I fully expect those who are the flat out racists to come after me for this comment. Then again they are also the same same anti-maskers who dismiss Covid as a flu or a hoax. You know who you are and so

<Most of this comes down to federal taxes I think. The people that pay them (a shrinking minority) got them cut and want to keep them that way. The people that don't pay them (a growing majority) but benefit from them also want to keep it that way. All the free stuff promised is paid by someone. What's the saying..."if you think stuff's expensive now, wait 'til it'

<Does the Cowboys - Giants game mean anything?> Yes. If Giants win and Washington loses the Giants host a home playoff game. And if Dallas wins and Washington loses the Cowboys are in the playoffs. If Washington beats Philly they are NFC East Champs with a home playoff game.

Hard to believe Washington just released their 2019 1st Round pick Haskins. Sunday's game is a win and yer in game for Redskins so i guess Riverboat Ron is looking to motivate his team with the release. Haskins stinks - like all Ohio State QB's that make the Show - but to not have him available for this must win game (and potential playoff games) when your #1 QB hasn't played in

Giants offense horrible. Holding Browns to 20 they should have been able to get into the end zone a few times anyway. Three trips to red zone at beginning of game and they come away with a total of 3 points.

Giants with a stout defense and solid running game. Won 4 in a row and their last 3 losses were by a combined 6 points. They are now favored by a point against Arizona this weekend.

QuoteStonedAsiaExile The first bootlegs I bought was at the Record Bar in Chapel Hill, NC. They used to carry bootlegs of local concerts. The first I bought was the 1975 Greensboro, NC and later Myrtle Beach, SC and Greensboro 1978. A bootleg of Greensboro 1975? I didn't think that existed. Have never heard MB 78 or Greensboro 78 either. Wow.

Probably 1975 or maybe 1976. Bought Welcome To New York MSG 1972 from somewhere off the Classifieds in the back pages of Rolling Stone magazine. Came in the US mail with the plain white sleeve with the separate pink paper cover drawing that i taped to the front sleeve. Guess it was the Trade Mark of Quality label? Can't remember if i mailed cash or a check from my parents when i ordered i
