QuoteTaylor1 The 1989 tour was fantastic. It is the most underrated Stones tour IMO. The band and especially Keith were great. It was not a Vegas act.It had great energy and musianship Well it makes sense you don't dig ER mate. That's what makes it so great to be a Stones fan, there's something for all!

QuoteChris Fountain Sweethearts Together is a cool slick song - like the tropical feel. Send it To Me - she could be Boogarian!! Sparks will Fly - don't for get the Sharks!! great stuff! You Got me Rocking great Warhorse! The first three I almost (that is almost;-) love more than the missus, YGMR has been gone for some time now so if it reappears again live I would be deligh

QuoteDandelionPowderman Are Summer Romance, Where The Boys Go and Let Me Go more lightweight than Whip, Lies and Respectable? Of course not. Dance, Down In The Hole and She's So Cold are classic funk, blues and rock/pop. Trying to establish a kind of 'truth' about this album being more lightweight than it's predecessor is imo unfathomable. It was a natural next step,

Quoteloog droog QuoteMisterDDDD I always remember the year Alaska and Hawaii became states as it was the year I was born. Would love to see PR and DC become states, long overdue. In the early 70's I was part of a church youth group working on a project, and I came upon an American flag tucked away in a basement storage closet. This was an old church that only displayed a flag on the 4t

Quoteretired_dog QuoteTaylor1 And it has stupid lyrics, mannered singing, an ugly melody. If it had been written and performed by Englebert Humperdink would you listen to it? That's exactly what I mean with "lightweight" in my previous post. And a song like "Indian Girl" has actually more in common with MOR mainstream pop like Pussycat's "Mississippi" or AB

QuoteTestify QuoteTaylor1 Too Each his own.I find these songs annoying, unimaginative, and boring.Send it to me is horrible mannered crap Everyone has their own tastes, for me they are clearly superior to stuff like Short and Curlies or Can You Hear the Music? or Soul Survivor. On the contrary, I find Send It To Me a fantastic, brilliant song. Or proper crap like Say You Will, which to some peo

QuoteTaylor1 Send it to me,Indian Girl,Where the Boys Go,Summer Romance Emotional Rescue, are 5of the 10worst Stones songs.Cringeworthy lyrics.Annoying songs.VooDoo Lounge has some great songs by contrast Really? I happen to think they are the bollox, ten outta ten each one of them, with maybe the exception of WTBG, that's a 8 outta 10. I'd rather listen to Indian Girl than JJ Flash o

Well back in the day we learned in school that Washington DC, Alaska and Hawaii are states but that would have made it 51 I believe, as I know we didn't treat Puerto Rico as one. Thinking back on it I am dumbfounded as why we should've learned that DC is a state as it's not. 50 it is. I just learned the capitals of each state (not the flags, though a lot of them are really beau

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteKoen Quoteroryg Give me a break. Hate their country? Most are just trying to get by and love their country more than most, they just want change, usually for the better (like most of the world's youth). As far as cartography skills, old and young Americans seem to have difficulty with their geography. Oh for crying out loud. How many Europeans can point to Sout

QuoteTaylor1 QuoteMadMax ER is the most underrated album of 'em all IMHO. Better than everything else except for Beggars and Exile, ESPECIALLY when one consider the production. To make a SD outta TY ain't logical as so much stuff is recorded much earlier. How would you pick the bonus trax?!?!?Better than Sticky Fingers, Let it bleed, Goats Head soup, Tatoo you, Voodoo Lounge, After

Not Gram Parsons's $1000 Wedding anyway. I agree with Terry, Sweethearts Together is a helluva beautiful song and would work very well.

I have a dream quite often, which accidentally also took place last night, about twice a month or so that I am standing at the front in a line at an outdoor Rolling Stones show. We are all standing on a slope leading up to a hill where the show allegedly will take place. I can spot the stage from the line and I hear the soundcheck. All of a sudden just before they are supposed to open the

Well I guess one man's coffee is another mans cuppa tea, when it comes to Out Of Tears, it leaves me cold. No emotions there, but Almost Hear You Sigh, live version of SOL (not the album version) and Blinded By Rainbows are excellent songs when it comes to touching the heart. Already Over Me with its Aminor/sus-chord and country flavoured "no-hope-a la-Hank Williams" approach i

I love spending the evenings with Stella, Ardbeg, Guinness, a bag of the best drummer in the world and my trusted Taylor guitar and assorted DVDs. Tonight it's Olympia 1995 and it just struck me: This must've been the last time Keith used a cord for Micawber (at least). It got messy during ADTL and then he stuck to it. Gotta admit I love it! Cords are clearly underrated, feels like I

20171025-stones-paris3-bv-29 Here's Keith with my t-shirt on his head on the 25th of october 2017 in Paris. I couldn't believe my eyes when he used the white sweaty Stones tee I've just been wearing as some kind of a "desert bandana" as I had thrown it up on stage during Satisfaction. I hope he saved it as the Stones printed shirt was made by a friend of mine and it

They will play London again, my hope is that they will come to the US next spring and then SA and then finish it off in Europe in 2022. But it does seem unlikely to say the least.
