Quotebuffalo7478 I'm bummed the band doesn't have the confidence in their own material enough to drop more warhorses and either play more of the new album or explore something outside the expected. I have tix for Chicago, bought when I was hopefully they would add a chunk of the new album. Last night's Glendale show might have been the more boring setlist in several tours. Gl

I prefer the 90's stages but I understand they are going with "just" the massive screens these days. I've always seen them from the pit or b-stage so personally I didn't need the screens in order to atually see them "up-close". The downside of the giant screens is that every one just watches that even in the pit.

QuoteIsolar Quotesteffialicia Quotebv Quotekeefriffhards Is anyone else astonished how unimpressed the audiences are, i know some gig's in the States can be a little more reserved but this is on another level, no matter how hard Mick tries to make them wave and clap. Are they actually there to see the Stones or just film them with their phones. Bob Dylan bans phones from his gig's,

Quoterocknrollal I question whether or not the Stones really pay attention to the vote, or they just pick which song they'd like to do. Either way, we are in for a great show tonight.I haven't heard any of the 4 songs in quite a while and have never heard ER. Maybe they'll play When the Whip comes Down - love that live. The whole point of the warhorses they always play is becaus

Quoterebelhipi What a moment to be a Stones fan! Personally i dont mind not having Rambler on the set. Its been played at every show since 2012. It can rest for a while. If Keith was sick. What a trooper, didnt slow him down at all. Cant wait to see them in Chicago He didn't look sick to me. I think it is just part of the shorter setlist due to their age.

QuoteJumpingKentFlash QuoteWuudy I'll re-introduce myself. I was active her about 20 years ago, stopped checking in about 15 years ago except for the around the Tours but started to be around more lately. Good to see old regulars are still around like Jumpingkentflash, Rockman, Mathijs, Dandelionpowderman and many, many more. Good ole Wuudy Hi Kent! I had a look but it seems that

Quotefalo01 QuoteMusicwinn Hopefully, next time Keith will play the intro of "Start Me Up" correctly. This time, it went the way we feared. For me, the sound crew f'*&$d it up. Keith had to react fast to replay the first chord and it didn't come out perfectly. Pretty good reaction anyway. Funny thing is that many of us (including me) expected him to mess it up. But

QuoteMathijs I can only say for a band with the lead singer and guitarist are turning 81 this year: Fantastic show, with a quite nice set list! Mathijs I second this sentiment, Absolutely astonishing that they are still going. I remember the chat here during the Licks tour how it realistically should be their last tour given their age and over 20 years later they are still at it. I wacht

It's the Stones, not Mick & Keith, right? To be fair the only difference is Ronnie.

QuoteStonedRambler I actually think the mix is quite good this time compared to other releases. Not perfect but good. The guitars are a bit loud but maybe they just listened to all the folks here always complaining that the guitars are too quiet. I like it but gotta admit it brings out the sloppiness in the guitar section. Especially Keith is noodling around a lot. I don't mind it br

Did they sped up Hand of Fate? Sounds fast but I like it. What a beautiful song is No Expectations. This rendition doen't beat the Stripped one in my opinion but Jaggers voice is stunning on this one!

Just started listening to it: This must be one of the greatest set lists of at least the post Tattoo You tour.

Quoteslewan QuoteWuudy Quoteslewan sounds much like Lou Reed in his later years. Thus not very original… Well, it is a cover so by definition not original. Same goes for their early work but doesn't mean it is not great to listen to. I ment 'not very original' in the sense that Keith doesn't add or change anything significant. He just does the song like Lou Reed used to do

How great is it that they have embraced the new streaming/youtube way of releasing music. For such a long time we asked for official releases of famous shows or outtakes. Now we have so many live shows, deluxe editions with outtakes and like this Lou Reed cover, just random releases of fun songs!

Quotesyrel There are rumours of maybe a show or two at the Vegas Sphere tacked on to the end of the tour, though nothing conclusive has been posted, and a post a page or two earlier suggested that doing just one or two shows there would be uneconomic. A couple of scattered mentions of Europe - perhaps Autumn 2024 or (surely more likely?) summer 2025, but nothing even to categorise as a solid rumo

Just had a look at the dates as it might coincide with a US trip. Unfortunately I'm not getting very excited about the size of the venues. All basically 60 thousand and over. Understandable as they want to maximize the profit given that there are relative high costs for these short tours. I haven't had the time to go through all the pages on this thread so does anone know if there are

video: Apologies if this is posted before, I couldn't find it. Just came across this on youtube and the comment section had people saying what a gem it was and were afraid it might be taken down soon. Great footage of Rock and a Hard Place and Mixed Emotions plus some casual chat in between. The first half hour is just them having dinner so probably not that entertaining to watch

I love Hackney Diamonds but Bridges to Babylon has a more Stones album feel for me as spent so much time listening to it in '97. Every day on the train with my discman. The BtB tour was also my first so I'll probably go with that one. Voodoo Lounge is the other contender for me. To be honest I won't be dissapointed with any of these 3

QuoteMore Hot Rocks QuoteWuudy I just saw on Sasha Allen's instagram that she is pregnant. She looks well underway but I would think the tour would come too soon for her. For the 3 or 4 th time. She has been casted in a Broadway play. That's got to be the tough part for the back up musicians, the Stones don't tour that often so they have to work in between. Big obligations can

QuoteDeanGoodman Quotevibrolux I finally made a bet with her. If the Stones play Coachella, I'm going with her (even though it's a long haul for me). If not, she's gotta come up to my place and take me out for dinner at a restaurant of my choice. I think it's a safe bet. If you lose, you're out by a couple of thousand dollars; if you win, she's out by - what

I reckon they will, if they can, tour Europe after the US. Probably next year but who know, maybe later in the year. They might work on the new album at stages but will hold on to it until they toured at least the US and EU before they will release it.

QuoteTurner68 A reasonable document of the tour, the studio songs are embarrassing and unfortunately foreshadowed what was to come. Not a fan of Voodoo Lounge and B2B then? I find those records very different from the two songs on Flashpoint.

QuoteJbeckerfan He is not credited on the album and was not present for the kickoff in NYC. Is he out of the band again like during Bridges to Babylon? Chuck was on the B2B tour or do you mean the album? Mick has praised him over the years, even saying that without him there wouldn't be the Stones any more. I imagine that it is probably because of personal reasons.
