This MF must have used a lot too much substances during his pathetic "stardom". Boasting about his "sex life" at 80! I suspect good old Alois Alzheimer has gotten hold of Nash. I prefer Nash, the car.

I gave this a second listen yesterday. Bearing in mind that the so-called "album" Tattoo you was a collection of left-overs etc, this rarieties cd can only be what it is: mostly unfinished songs, vocals of course re-sung by Mick Jagger, but jamming-like extended middle parts and so on. Only Drift away and Troubles acomin´sound like genuine out-takes. The book wasn´t much worth

Let it be - to be quite honest. But if them want to give their last bow to the European audience, then go ahead.

QuoteGerardHennessy I was always curious about those European albums too Kristian, like the one you mention - Around & Around. I guess they simply had a different combination of the same tracks we got in Britain. No actual new music as such. I have often wondered why albums were not standardised much sooner than they were? Both The Beatles and The Stones released very different versions o

We in continental Europe were lucky to usually get the most of it: under the DECCA label we got Out of Our Heads "Featuring I can´t get no Satisfaction", Flowers, Have you seen your Mother LIVE?, December´s Children and so on. And all those albums not available in USA nor in UK, such as Around and Around. The London label surfaced officially I think first in the early 70´s with Hot R

Well, it´s a good number if there are lots of different opinions. My favorites: Get yer ya ya´s out From the same tour any of those, when all three verses were done Get your Leeds lungs out (I´s there in Frankfurt when they opened the European tour April -76. Honky Tonk was terrible, including Mr Richards falling on his ass)

I spent some days in Stockholm (Sweden) in July 1973. I had heard about bootlegs, but never seen one; I lived in Frankfurt, (West)Germany back at the time and there was no market for those - as opposed to the 90`s. I came across a shop called "Skivgrosisten" in the old city (Gamla Stan), where I found Live`r than you`ll ever be, Beautiful Delilah and We never got it on `till Detro

To be quite honest - Ron Wood is a terrible "painter" or artist. I got those "hands" as a birthday gift from a millionaire friend of mine - hid them in my attic immediatelly. But don´t tell him! He´s what he is - an all right guitar player and better when he´s on his own than within them Stones, he´s work/ collaboration with incredible Imelda May is just fantastic. I

Now this should, at last, put an end to those stupid assumptions that "Jim Page plays the solo of Sympathy".

It helps to keep your mouth wet; singing 2+ hours makes "and my mouth´s getting dry". Chewing keeps saliva production going. Believe me, I´m an MD.

I heard Hand of Fate on their first night of the European Tour ´76 in Frankfurt. It must have been the first of night the song also in front of an audience. It did sound great, although I remeber thinking how great the taylorsque solo could have been, if played by MT.

Saw him in 1974 in Frankfurt (W-Germany), he played in addition to his own songs Purple Haze. He was joined onstage with Georges Moustaki who sat in the front row and they sang together one of Georges´s hits - can´t remember which one. A night to remenber.

Now, 53 years on, it sounds astonishingly like their dear rivals` Revolver did, the modern sound of 1966.

A great set. Among the best boxes around by any artist. The BBC show (in case you mean that one) exists as an official CD. The Beat Club show appears in YouTube, including rehearsals, thus downloadable. Hope this helps!

Fortunately, we have both to choose from. By 1973, they were starting to re-record and re-write their past, sort of. Dancing with Mr D - an afterglow of "satanism" e.g.Sympathy StarF - a story of how fun it used to be; a Chuck Berry re-make, worse than originals Can you hear the music - they couldn´t hear themselves knocking, anymore And Billy Preston´s stupid clavinet ma

This is pretty much very amusing - they play what they choose to play and all this "song vote" is, of course, just a part of the game. There are lots of people who want to hear the early 60`s catalogue, lots of folks who are just dying to hear their late 60`s catalogue, 70`s catalogue 1971 - 1974 is a must for millions of us (incl me), for some folks 1976 - 81 is the best and so on.

The Stones had the great, late Tony Funches, who knocked down two angels simultaneously and broke his wrists, hence the white bandage as seen in Gimme Shelter.

The double came out actually in 2012... Some Girls DeLuxe. Getting the job in the Stones may have been Ron Wood`s drug of choice, financially and fame-wise, but his excellent writing career (mostly with Rod The Mod) came to an end, simultaneously.

The best of Ron Wood-Era, which of course is not the best era, but nowadays the only one we have.
