QuoteMisterDDDD Quotevirgil Absolutely , Gordon Gekko would be very proud of them. Of course some posters on here will defend them to to end , claiming they really care about their fans using the Lucky Dips as one example. Where’s the kool Aide? I like my flavor.. Cherry Red . I wouldn't say the Stones are greedy, any more than most any top band/entertainer. It's called music bu

Quotecarouslambra Quotekeefmick If I am unable to get pit tickets, do you think floor "seats" are better than side stage up close in the stands? I am taking my daughter who is only 5 feet tall and afraid with everyone standing on the floor she won't be able to see. Unless the stage is high enough that that is not a problem. Can't decide between floor and side stage in the stan

QuoteGaetzi Red Rocks is 8,500. If the Rolling Stones play Red Rocks.... As someone who attends 5-10 shows a year at Red Rocks I would love this, but really you would need 5000 oxygen tanks just to get the majority of the fan base up the climb to the amphitheater.

I'm pretty sure the mono Let it Bleed is a fold down not a dedicated mono mix. Stereo would be the way to go

The Stones are lucky they don't have to follow Neil and POTR in October, I feel sorry for Macca. Not that it will matter much at the Custie Fest, er..I mean Desert Trip.

Taking a few pictures is cool, but people who record the whole show on their smart phones are so annoying and disrespectful to those around them. Enjoy the moment!

QuoteDandelionPowderman The 45 was a 33, though. Loved it, even though it was bleeding expensive here in Norway Really? One of the worst sounding official releases I ever heard, bought a ton of stuff on RSD and this was by far the worst. In fact everything I've heard from the New Barbarians, tons of boots and the actual show I attended were less than good. I get the looseness etc, but

For Welcome to New York and Garden State 78 vinyl is the only way to go. I have several CD versions including TSP and nothing comes close to the vinyl IMO especially the 78 recording. I also prefer the old mono vinyl version of Leeds 71 even though its only part of the show. It is great to have the full show of Leeds on the SF box but the mastering was less than stellar. Hope they release a more

QuoteNaturalust Sounds to me like an open G tuned guitar probably close and distant mic'ed played though a small but loud guitar amp, possibly a Fender Twin Reverb. The amp may have been put in a small room or booth to get that more natural sounding reverb. Just a guess I have no factual information about that session except that it was Ry Cooder playing as DP has stated. You consider a Tw

I personally am sick of him putting everybody down. Didn't his mother ever teach him "If you cant say anything nice don't say anything at all". Shut your mouth dude and practice the intro to Start me up. That said looking forward to getting the vinyl on Friday, but it will have to wait until I finish the new David Gilmour lp.

First heard Brussels 73 King Biscuit Flour Hour on WMMS in Cleveland in the mid seventies. I used to tape these broadcasts on cassette. I remember getting the LZ '71 show the same way. First bootleg purchase Golden State '78 in 1979 Freshman year of college Athens Ohio, still have it along with a million others.

I'm in for Hollywood Bowl and MSG, both were tough tickets. Initially I had to settle for singles for MSG but persistence paid off and I scored a pair in the lower levels. Friends scooped up the two extras in a flash. Since both dates involve travel I'm hoping he adds additional dates at both venues. Actually I'm surprised he hasn't already considering how quick these first
