Not my kind of humor I guess..If Mick hadn't been playing in this, I would have turned it off after 30 seconds. I didn't even smile. Hopefully, we'll have a bit more substance regarding the album with Keith tonight. Although there will probably be a pot of lemons on the table again...

It is all speculation, of course. It could very well be something in the private sphere that has nothing directly to do with Keith himself. Imagine Patti is having health problems, that would also be a legit reason not to tour.

The site will probably be shut down soon or redirected to the Foreign Tongues product page. That poster was the definitive confirmation that The Cockroaches were The Stones. That was also the final addition. Is it 5pm already?

All of those feeds seem to have to do something with the recording session of Rough and Twisted. Maybe it's a teaser for the video?

A whole new world is really opening up for me! Back in the mid-90s (when I was 16 or 17) I traveled to the big city to expand my Stones collection, and that was when I first encountered the concept of Laserdisc. MediaMarkt had 25x5s in stock. But now that I’m just searching on Vinted (a major second-hand site in Europe), I see that Video Rewind, Live at the Max, Voodoo Lounge... Basically ever

After Voodoo Lounge, I really found Bridges to be a step backward. Where Voodoo was groovy, bluesy, and experimental, B2B felt far too polished and overproduced to me. Might as Well Get Juiced, Gunface, Already Over Me, and Always Suffering are fillers to me. 3 Keith songs is also a bit of overkill. Especially since none of the 3 is a rock song. 20 years later, ABB turns out not to be the high

When I first heard Get Close, it hit me what had been missing—almost without me realizing it—from the Stones’ albums over the past 30 years: a proper saxophone solo. That’s a big part of why it stands out as my favorite track on Hackney Diamonds. It’s catchy, it feels fresh, and it really swings. To my ears, it’s one of the best things they’ve recorded in a long time—right up there with Almost

Weird choice for a single. I kinda like the song, but it has zero to none hitpotential. Rough mix, not catchy at all... I wonder if it ends up on the definitive album or maybe that it's even representive of the rest of the album and that we'll get some sort of Blue and Lonesome part 2.

Could be anything... But my guess is that it's a press conference or a press 'moment. Not a performance or mini concert like The Racket. But it could also be a pre-recorded interview that airs on the cockroaches website...

Natchez = Mississippi Delta = Blues. But a Russian Ballet dancer? Not a single clue what that has to do with the Stones... "Who the @#$%& are the Cockroaches" would be a killer album title.

I am curious what the theme of these shows will be. It hasn't really been announced as the 'Fearless tour' or anything like that. His previous tour was the 'Mad Lad' tour, if I'm not mistaken. And before that, that Jimmy Reed project. It has also been a while since he released a solo album. If it does turn out to be a 'best of' tour spanning his oeuvre,

Quotestargroover The Paradiso is an amazing venue and part of Stones history.Amsterdam is a great party city, and has many Dutch fans.Ronnie was easily gonna sell out two shows here.To be honest I think the tickets were reasonably priced.I believe he could have still sold out this venue if there were confirmed Stones dates. The question is :Will the Special guest be the same on both nights? Maybe

When I became a Stones fan after buying Hot Rocks, Steel Wheels had just come out and Dirty Work on cassette was discounted to ten guilders. I was 12 and didn't have money for SW, so I bought Dirty Work, and that became my first Stones studio album. So I probably have a somewhat different connection to the album than most people here. At the time, I thought it was a raw album, a lot harde

I'm really curious to see how the ticket sale goes. The prices are obviously steep for such a small venue. But it might be the last chance to see a Rolling Stone member live, and Ronnie doesn't have many shows planned for this year yet... Do you think it will sell out quickly with prices of €206 per ticket?

Imelda May is a safe bet. She pops up everywhere with Ronnie. Bernard Fowler is a usual suspect too...

Yes the price is high, but i'm guessing it probably is my last chance to see a Rolling Stone member in a small setting like this. The Stones themselves won't bé playing these kind of venues anymore for sure.

The Stones have a history of featuring beautiful women in music videos. Let's not be narrow-minded now haha. She Was Hot, Anybody Seen my Baby, Ride 'm on Down, Like a Rolling Stone, Love is Strong... If you are 80 years old yourself, you're not going to throw 80 year old women in your vids of course. And when the song is about a (broken) relationship.. yeah, it's pretty o

I was born in 1979, so when I became Stones fan, I had the 'luxury' of buying albums on CD and with that, the option to easily skip tracks that I didn't like. There are a handful of songs that I (consciously) haven't played more than 5 times because I just really don't like them. - Feel on Baby - I Just want to see his face - Fingerprint File - Goin'

Come on, the Stones did it too. Streets of Love, Rain Fall Down, Harlem Shuffle.. Those were obvious attempts to score a hitsong instead of staying true to their roots.

How long does the current deal with Universal actually last? Was there an end date to it, or was it for a certain number of albums? With all those 'deluxe' releases, the number of albums may well have been reached by now. If you'd ask me, the next compilation album, should be a definitve one.

If the release is planned for may, then it's possible that we won't be hearing anything until early april (teasers, maybe the release of a single).

QuoteProfessorWolf Quotestonesstein I have read in a few places that Keith's osteoarthritis has rendered him unable to play like is required and that he asked Jagger to kill the tour. I do not know this to be true or false, but has anyone herein heard the same? not sure about about that unless it's a very recent development because he's playing fine here back in november

Definitely not the end they deserved. Way too muck guests artists (hell, the Earring seemed to be guests on their own party). We don't have many true rock artists left in the Netherlands, but to bring in pop artists like The Opposites, Maan, Acda en de Munnik, and Guus Meeuwis... Imagine if the Stones were to give a farewell concert sometime in the future and they'd show up with J

The album is finished, but maybe it needs a little tweaking or mixing. Mick was on Mustique, so it wasn't a group-thing. Maybe some overdubs.
