Listened to Andrew Watt's new produced album by Elton John Who Believes In Angels (on Tidal 24bit 96khz). Musically it is pretty strong, but, to me, the production or mixing sounds terrible. Especially the beautiful voices are really thin and harsh as though they sing through an old radio. It messes with the listening experience. Too bad. It was mixed by Serban Ghenea.

I'm a sucker for the Dobro by Ronnie. Like on The Storm, Love In Vain on Stripped, and Already Over Me. He plays some tasty beatiful slide licks on these songs. Dreamy Skies has a beautiful soundscape as well. Very very tasteful. And that harp by Mick is just heaven, the sound and melody of it.
