Good question! From my experience only, 1) Because communication with video is much different than with only sound (e.g. facial expressions, smiles, etc all matter); in short, it’s just easier to laugh when you can see someone else smiling back, and 2) we’re really good and funny at what we do! 5th time seeing them. First caught them on 50 and Counting in Chicago, then Zip Code in MPLS, Milwaukee. Then London 2018. Was supposed to catch them in LA in 2019 but the show was cancelled. Then the pandemic cancelled the first MPLS date, and I thought we might not ever see them! For a variety of reasons - namely a baby and the pandemic - we haven't been out for much in the past 18

BV, you have to remember that the George Floyd protests significantly altered the downtown MPLS landscape. Many restaurants and retailers chose not to return to downtown. That explains the boringness you mentioned. Uptown was hit hard too. Check out Northeast MPLS for some great restaurants and breweries.
