QuoteStonedRambler Seems a good way to make some money when you don’t want to tour Such an unnecessary comment.

QuoteBig Al QuoteJDSAM1994 I love the stadium and big crowd shows, but I do believe that act is a little worn out. The main excitement is within the first 6 songs for those of us who follow them. After that the setlist is all but predictable. Not saying I don't like it, but it mainly consists of the crowd pleaser songs. The War horse songs for a while now, have been extended to 7-10 minutes,

They are still very "popular" just aren't at the forefront of everyone's minds. Many people only care about and know the 15-20 "radio classics". They have always been around and touring a lot, two 5-7 year breaks in 63+ years and basically 45-50 years of touring. People have had many many chances to see them and have. Some bands have 10-15 year Hiatus' and when

People don't want to come on here and see nonsense or other people arguing over BS. Just email or call each other if you want to debate, and keep it off here, no one cares. Ever wonder why BV doesn't want to deal with this anymore?

That's some great info right there! QuoteMathijs QuoteJDSAM1994 I've noticed that before and tried to re create it. The SVT's were brand new then and high powered. I think he's just getting that sound from the tone knob rolled back a bit on his SG. Old bumble-bee caps would do that. It could be the rhythm neck pick up too. I would say most of his guitar playing was flawles

QuoteTaylor1 No .1969 -1973 were not mos Taylor solos. His solos are brilliant, to the point and enhance greatly the songs. In fact the best part of his playing is playing off Keith.Shows like Brussels were never topped .And 1981 was not the peak JDSAM1994 I get what you're saying, as I did mention Mick Taylor. I'm well aware of his great melodic solos. Most songs he got 2 solos whi

1981 was their peak, it still was the original pure form of the band. Mick still wearing dancing shoes (not gym shoes), no back up singers, visibly partying on stage, all of them together back stage before the show in the same room, stu was alive, no BS screens or giant blow up stage props. Just rock n roll. Sure Taylor years may have been better in terms of guitar solos, but 81 was the peak.

if only he could've straightened out and returned after the Taylor years. They could've got him doing solos, probably would've been great

At the end of the day this style ranking is very arbitrary. Several things I definitely disagree with and several things I agree with. However, every show is great, some can be less great. being the age they are things may happen differently every show. Keef totally missed his cue on the Angry solo in Cleveland this year and I thought it was the great laughable moment, so did he.

If anyone is looking to see a good show in-between stones shows. Checkout Daniel Donato at the Chop Shop June 28th & 29th. He is a hell of a guitar player and has created a fusion style of Country chickn Pickn and dead head, he calls it Cosmic Country. Well worth $35. I would go as far to say he is a modern master of the Telecaster. Daniel Donato Solos https://danieldonato.com/tou
