QuoteJordyLicks96 QuotePalace Revolution 2000 QuoteJordyLicks96 These are Mick Jagger's handwritten liner notes for LET IT BLEED. I know they aren't studio pics but I thought it was a cool find to post here. This is interesting. First off he has Bill Wyman on autoharp on "Let it Bleed" too. On "Live with Me" I thought it had been Leon Russell on pia

I can remember a great deal of "tut-tut"ing from both Mum and Dad when Tumbling Dice was on Top Of The Pops so that puts it 1972 when I was 13/14. Anything my parents disapproved of must be alright! Fortunately next year they agreed to get me GHS for my birthday. And so it begins...

Quotetatters Come to think of it, a reviewer who attended the show here in Detroit last April wrote that the sound was "far too loud, far too hot, lacking any definition in favor of pure, punishing volume. A distracting hum burdened a fair chunk of the show, while everything from the stage was pushed to such extremes that vocals and particularly solos by Bender and Fisher were brittle and di

Quoteivanova_08 Hi, I first bought a standing while worrying there would be not Level 1 (I need to seat). I then managed to have a seat so I technically have a spare standing one. except I haven't received the tickets yet. But if I do quite soon, the standing one is yours, face value of course. I'll email you a copy of my reply. Is this still available? My email address is not hid

Personally enthusiastic for this. A RS doing Chuck Berry what's not too like? As I once said The Rolling Stones are the world's greatest cover band!

Quotedrewmaster QuoteStoneage Haven't seen this one. I guess it hasn't premiered yet. But I wish Sir Michael were more lucky with his films. They often tend to be quite mediocre and forgettable over time. Why doesn't he star in those mega block buster super hero movies. Like Batman or Spider Man. He can't go wrong there. He could play Batmans grandpa or something... I pers

I'm sure many of us know the venue. Stalls standing is great but if you can't/don't want to then level 1 is fine. Get there early as it's unreserved seating

He has a film company Jagged Films doesn't he? Makes pretty good sense he's at one of the major European Film Festivals. Let's Work ...to coin a phrase.

Was listening to Love You Live in the car loving the El Macambo tracks and the blistering Around and Around. Just wondering when this was last performed? And please bring it back before The End!

QuoteGasLightStreet Plundered was all Mick. Do you mean with Keith - plus whoever? I dunno. There are some great harmonies on SOME GIRLS through UNDERCOVER, after that it's a wash out. Keith and Mick on The Worst. Would have to listen again to the post SG albums to come up with something. I guess it's something that doesn't stick out. It was Mick doing his best Keith impr

QuoteTheflyingDutchman I have walked into the Amstel Hotel when the Stones played in Holland, not with the intention to meet a Stone , but to pick up a friend From LA. I made it to the lobby, not a single person paying attention to me. I don't know if the Stones where in the Hotel at that moment. Be a pretty strange "hotel" if you couldn't just walk in

Going from last year in UK there will be a couple of lesser known songs. I'd put money on Memory Motel being played in Boston.

Quoteliddas In 1983 Milan bought Luther Blissett from Watford. Elton John owned Watford at the time. Eventually Blissett was renamed "Miss-it" and turned out to be one of the worst strikers of Milan's history. I must have developed a pavlonian association between ELton and Blissett: whenever I hear Elton's music on the radio I immediately change station! C Story was

Help a Brit ...planning to visit USA Oct 22 to 31 previously I have enjoyed the Stones at MSG and Shelby Lynne at a small venue near Central Park (don't recall the name) and Black Keys in Boston at Orpheum Theatre. Can the American contingent of iorr.org recommend anything going on in that time frame? Big or small doesn't matter. You already have an idea what I like!

QuoteHMS The SHOWS are always great nowadays from an entertaining point of view (the sound, the light-show, the video-walls, the gigantic stages). All of that is camouflating that often the artists - in this case Roger/Pete - are actually done. Put them in a small venue with three spots only, no videos, no special effects and you might be surprised how poor it would be. It's a few years ag
