Let me add last night I saw Flo in Glasgow. Actually I first saw her performing live when she duetted Gimme Shelter with Mick at the Stones’ O2 Arena show 2012. She was forcing herself a bit too much, clearly affected that she was on stage and singing by Mick. Almost looked starstruck! I bought Springsteen tickets for Edinburgh and Birmingham, both cheapest ones. Cost me around 80 quid for n

Last night (1 Feb) I saw Florence + the Machine at the OVO Hydro, first time for me to attend their big arena show, and it was almost full house (over 95% as far as I could see). Before that, my only occasion to catch them live was at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, May 2018, one of the new album premiere gigs at selected small venues prior to supporting the Stones at the London Stadium. Regardless of the number of gig attendance (52 is quite a number to be fair), you are one of the most knowledgeable, insightful and dedicated fans of the Stones. Nice of you to say that. 52 isnt bad considering the

QuoteMore Hot Rocks QuoteHairball Yeah that' a good one also...one hit wonders, and the only tune I know from them. Same here Steelers Wheel’s “Star” became quite a hit in Japan. “Stuck In The Middle With You” not so much over there. IMHO “Star” is a much better song than “Stuck”.

Whenever I hear the tag, ‘New York Punk’, the two songs spring to my mind — Psycho Killer by Talking Heads and Marquee Moon by Television. Saw him once, Osaka in 1987, on his first Japanese visit. R.I.P.

Not the Stones, but there’s a 1998 Diesel Park West album titled — guess what — Hip Replacement. D.P.W. are among my favorite bands ever. Chris Kimsey, who produced their debut album, Shakespeare Alabama (1989), recommended them to the Stones for a support act of the Steel Wheels Tour. Keith liked them but Mick declined in favour of Living Colour.

Yeah, give Honolulu a chance. It deserves hosting the boys, especially considering their last gig over there got cancelled. I think to myself, though — putting together Honolulu-Japan-Australia-New Zealand could work as an alternative logistics. Pacific tour 1973 again. Adding Anchorage to that would be even cooler. I mentioned that in one of my previous posts: Re: Stones tour plans 2023

According to one eyewitness, Hendrix (allegedly) delivered an impromptu instrumental performance dedicated to Reverend King, which stunned the audience. It has been argued among the

Trivia: guitarist John ‘Charlie’ Whitney of Family/Streetwalkers shares the identical birthday with Jeff Beck, 24 June, 1944. One of the lesser recognized and underrated axemen from the ‘60s/‘70s U.K. music scene, he was a dab hand of the doubleneck guitar way before Jimmy Page made it iconic with Stairway To Heaven. Streetwalkers recruited Bobby Tench, the ex-member of the Jeff Beck Group #2,
