QuoteGasLightStreetI didn't get HD on vinyl. Maybe some day I will. Maybe I'll get the 2026 LP on vinyl just because. You should! I'm not one of those people who says the vinyl always sounds miles better, but it's definitely true for HD.

QuoteJalfstra €199 for the super deluxe boxset GTFO.... I like Shame Shame Shame after a few spins. It's out on streaming services like Spotify as we speak... I still think it will be pulled as I can't believe the version out now - with what clearly sounds like mixing errors - would be released.

Quotekeefriffhards GasLightStreet you think albums don't sell these days, check out Beyonce, 200 million records. That's an estimate that includes streaming numbers (according to @#$%& she's actually at a 110 million) and pertains to her entire career. In terms of actual physical copies + downloads she's sold something more around 40 million for her career, and most of t

QuoteWitness To me it is one of the great joys of life to approach a new studioalbum by the Rolling Stones! HACKNEY DIAMONDS reminded me of that fact. Soon to be given that privilege once again is awesome! Exactly this!

This is fantastic news! I hope they release it this year - the speculated Black & Blue remaster release date make it seem like that is not a given.

Quotekeefriffhards Like with the new album, we already know it's a Jagger/ Watts production, so I'll bet it will sound very similar to Hackney Diamonds, i don't expect much else, good for you as you like old men trying to sound young, perhaps that makes you feel young, who knows, I'd rather my Stones grew up and created something more honest. I like them a bit rawer and

Man I get the criticism of Hackney Diamonds. The production is more polished and the songwriting poppier than I like from our guys. But really, when I just enjoy it for what it is, I can't help but see it as a remarkable achievement for a band of 80/70 year olds that's been going for 60 years. I'll gladly take anything they still have to give us.

QuoteMadMax QuoteKeVvV2011 They can keep the Tumbling Dice coda rolling for as long as they like imo. Wouldn't mind endless jamming on Waiting On A Friend either. I think overall their song extensions have worked well. Just My Imagination in '81 is another one that comes to mind. Not a big fan of the long Miss You they play nowadays, but not too bothered by it either. AMEN Dice

Based on what I've heard, the quality difference from show to show seemed a tad larger than on previous tours. Generally speaking, the uptempo material tends to be played a tad too fast for my liking, sometimes losing its groove altogether. But on the nights that they were on, the slower tracks like Just My Imagination and Waiting On A Friend are just outstanding. It doesn't get muc

Like Harvey's work on Hot Stuff, but the only "what if" I've given thought is regarding Wayne Perkins who just sounded brilliant (and of course: what if Mick T. had stuck around). Definitely a sour grapes interview. Listening to the 10-minute version of Everything Is Turning To Gold now - Ronnie is the man.

I think Undercover has a few excellent highs, but also quite a few average tracks. I really like what Mick was going for with Undercover Of The Night and Too Much Blood in terms of songwriting. At the same time, I think the production is not great - it actually gets in the way of the groove of the songs. When I listen to the early demos of both songs, I can't help but feel like the tracks ha

QuoteMickDaseway ...a show for 16,000 people? that's a big dream... I mean, they ended the tour in the Waldbühne in 2022 (21.000) and the New Thunder Ridge Nature Arena (18.000) last year. So it does not seem like an impossible dream.

Hey, say what you want about Matt, but he killed the piano part on Tumbling Dice at the Racket gig.

Someone filmed the Waldbühne 2022 gig with a 360-camera, I saw that on YouTube. Professionally recording the show is probably not worth it for big acts now - there are simply not enough people with VR headsets. And the quality of consumer-grade camereas is still too low for amateur recordings of this kind to pop up.

Great recording, many thanks for sharing! Interesting to listen to such a Chuck-heavy mix. It does reinforce for me that I just don't like his style. I know we've had this debate countless times here, but man, just compare the piano on this version of Tumbling Dice to the Racket performance where Matt handled those parts. That was the best performance of TD I've heard in years,

Quotegotdablouse Dunno about "Get Close", they never played "Slave" live after all...I can't imagine how many "blank stares" Mick would be getting, not worth the hassle. They played Can't You Hear Me Knocking in 2022 though. If Mick was up for that, then I see no reason why they couldn't play Get Close as well, as it's a more poppy and accessible

AFAIK we had more or less the same position just in different PITs, so only a few yards seperated by the aisle. They really are very similar in sound. Love your recording of that show, Falo. I've listened to countless recordings by Daspyknows over the years, which he kindly shared publically. He's one of the tapers who'd happily share, if it wasn't for the bootleg labels making money off his work and the remaster crowd that doesn't want to respect the request to not touch the recording. He's certainly not the only one. We've missed out on several
