So sad to see this wonderful man leave us. What an exceptional talent he was, just brilliant. He was the heart of The Beach Boys. He will not be forgotten, so many of us still enjoy and marvel at his music to this day. RIP Brian Wilson

I am not sure about what this particular day means to Stones fans. Marianne's passing is indeed sad and she was a huge part of Stones' history. What do you mean by "as if this day couldn't get any worse for Stones fans"? Thank you.

Lovely. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard a cover of LJ. This is beautifully calming. Thanks for posting.

Four are truly memorable to me, listed in order with the best first: 1969 - LA Forum, first show 1966 - Hollywood Bowl 2002 - Tacoma Dome 2019 - Seattle Lumen Field I suppose my motivation for these thoughts comes from how the band sounded, whether or not they are introducing new material, and their performance against my expectations. The 1966 show was my first concert ever and I was

What a long and inspirational life he lived. I was fortunate to see him twice on the Turning Point tour in 1969. He inspired me to learn to play the blues harp. RIP John Mayall and thank you for the blues!

A lot of possibilities, but for me Midnight Rambler, hands down. The theme, the pace, the lyrics, everything about it is dark and frightening. And, I would also consider these: Can't You Hear Me Knocking - "Hear me prowlin'/gonna take you down" etc. Paint it Black Gimme Shelter

Quotescaffer Altamont weirdness notwithstanding, Mick and Keith are longtime pros at handling tough crowds. Check out 'You Gotta Move' in Berlin 1970. Whistles rain down from many in the audience not liking the accoustic set (although others applaud to show support). Keith actually cuts the song off early. Mick then shouts a sarcastically upbeat 'Thank you!' - then an even

Hey there! If I can snag a couple of LD’s for the Seattle show, I’ll go. Otherwise, the seats are much too pricey for me.

Oops. Thanks, Topi. I’ve been out of touch a bit with moving and more. I did get a couple of decent LD’s at the 2019 Seattle show, pretty close to the stage. MisterDDDD was helpful in educating me on some of the protocols. He is a real gentleman.

I generally don't like new music by old rockers (I love the songs from the '60's and '70's) but I have to say that I really like this song. It drew me right in with the catchy opening riffs, and Mick's voice is fantastic. Pretty damn good. I am impressed!

Terrible idea. That is not who they have been, nor who they are. Also, given their ages, they need the noise, the volume to compensate for their lessened singing and playing abilities. I wonder which of their warhorses could be preformed unplugged? Just one fan's opinion . . .

I’ll never forget her performance with the Ike & Tina Revue opening for the Stones at the Forum in 1969. Just incredibly powerful. I often listen to River Deep, Mountain High. A perfect combination of Tina’s raw power and Phil Spector’s wall of sound. The most underrated song ever. RIP Tina Turner

Brian only played 2 more shows in the US, San Fran and Honolulu. Also, Ronettes

I bought tickets last summer for tonight’s show in Bremerton, Washington. Wasn’t sure what to expect but I have always loved his music and his legacy with Stax and all the incredible artists he has worked with. He looked great and his B3 sounded as good as ever. What I did not expect was the team of 3 talented young vocalists, 2 guys and a young lady. They sang many of the songs from the artist

Yesterday I listened to The Yardbirds’ I’m Not Talking. What an energetic, frantic sound, almost like a garage band. Jeff Beck’s playing was brilliant and raw. IMHO, one of their best.

QuoteThe Sicilian He gave us that iconic riff in The Yardbirds "Heart Full of Soul" and that brilliant club gig in the fantastic Michelangelo Antonioni film Blow-Up. Did anyone get to see him play with The Yardbirds on their 1966 tour? I'm guessing DaveG was there. RIP Jeff Beck. Hey Sicilian, I regret that I never got to see Jeff Beck live. Quote24FPS I saw them in '69. And I've seen the complete Woodstock set. CCR was great. The problem is that there's no ad libbing, no spontaneity. They played note perfect sets that delivered the songs exactly like the albums. If you've seen the once, you've seen them. Exactly. I saw them about 5 times in 1969. The first couple of times were very exciting, they produced
