All Sold Out and several others on Buttons are quite adventurous I think. Obviously it's not Let It Bleed but what is? Not Aftermath either but it's got it's charm, power and originality as they stretched and grew...

"I'm not @#$%& surprised " Nate Diaz Color me speechless. Brian Wilson's favorite song is gonna surprise everyone here except Rockmanfucious. Oh my goodness I am sorry to see this is old news and fans way ahead of me are likely knowing about this forever. I didn't really mean to start a Between the Buttons thread but will see ei can think of an interesting

Quotepeoplewitheyes Nice Comments, Hopkins. I take it you're in LA? What do people there remember about Denny? Got me intrigued! Also, I love this tune too - so poppy and bright, but with a little sadness in that chorus backing 'ooooh oohh oooooh'. Always a little bittersweetness with Brian. TY! sent you an email; don't like to dig the dirt but there has been mounds

How wonderful; doesn't, in truth, really have that 'voice' anymore but how cool; how beautiful; what a great song! nice production and all that; very cool Brian!! Verse slams when he comes back into it; refreshing; really cool; of course with this style; for a sec you tend to miss, at least I do, Carl; it sounds sorta like Al but I don't think it's him? Mike not really

I adore Mott The Hoople and Mott. Hunter's solo work too. I'm a stone gone fan, very much influenced and inspired by them on a lot of levels. I'm just Stone gone crazy in love with this band since a teenager.

I am writing a short essay about his first Recording work as a Stone. Live With Me, I think. Here it is in full: Wow, Holy Shite. Wow. Whoa!! Are you kidding me!? Whoa.

Marty was just great. JA a pretty Sterling band. I agree those Marty songs in Starship were wonderful. I think it was a really great idea to keep it going. Mickey obviously madly talented. But, like it's kinda shabby of me to poke fun at them but it's sort of, well.. I'd say like the B room at a Playboy club dining room...

QuoteStoneage Sure, Hopkins. Close the thread then and make it a "Charlie, get well" thread. For the sake of clarity. Are you having a conversation with yourself (selves), and sneering crapola at ol Hopkins? are ya? Jeeze Louise I leave for a year and it's a friggin diletante nightmare here. Fight amongst yourselves. This ends up being the Dirty Work site instead iorr. I

To an old timer like me at 70, who was TOO YOUNG to really appreciate TB when he had a film appearance off of wildly successful stints in jazz clubs. Charlie would very much know U think. And Bill too, both older than the Glimz. Now with the Years and Decades and TONS OF TV live performance over decades. .I see him rear up and tear it up on any song he sings, when he smoothes into BELTING tha

Quotebitusa2012 QuoteGerardHennessy This is such a sad thread as we debate between ourselves whether most audience members know or care about who is on stage, and who the drummer is? Sadly I must agree with those who say that most audience members neither know or care. These casual fans are concerned only about hearing the 4-5 Stones songs they actually know, and whether they get to see Mick

I am listening to Mean and Restless (Building Back A Better New Normal) by Stan Becker. Some old dogs don't know when to quit but this is okay. Sorta . John Davis at Metropolis Mastering London Mastered it. Cheeky Becker bstrd posts that they're promoting his Zep stuff because they "like to help other bands!?" WTF!? Apparently they vaccinated this one with Mushrooms an

Well I guess I heard this at about 12 to 13 or 14 years old when it came out on the radio. I'm 70 last July 12, also the anniversary of the first Stones gig, (albeit Mick Avory of the Mighty Mighty Kinks, tho the drummer that day in 62 has spurred debate)... ... .I was a messed up kid moved around a lot And Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind.. ... that's kinda like par

Jefferson Airplane were mighty amazing and important band. Hot Tuna with Jorma and Jack on Guitar and Bass with Papa John Creach were absolutely amazing. I Saw them live at Town Hall in NYC. Amazing. Love Grace. Definitely an icon of strength. Even like her these days as an artist and big ol grandma Etc. Mickey Thomas s great voice too. It's just that it turned so Stoopid

QuoteMoreFastNumbers QuoteTooTough QuoteRuediger The band with two hired musicians might sound like the Stones, but they aren't the Stones. For me, unless Charlie will really recover and again join the others, the book is closed once and forever. Sorry. I´m nearly thinking the same. It´s my "visiting a Stones concert-book". As I said before: I wouldn´t go in ´21 (even if I had
