Yeah, I was surprised at the time, because I had read similar reports. I expected to be whisked away through some VIP entrance or similar, but instead I joined the plebs outside! Still... Bloody good fun was had once inside. I really despise travelling (airports especially), but totally worth all the hassle when there is a Stones show at the end of the journey.

QuoteLeonioid I doubt they will let you swap seats. The way it went for us (and as you probably saw too when you had LDs) is you line up in the lucky dip line, show your IDs... and by the time you are handed your random envelope you are basically inside... there is no going back. ( it gave me chills to think of being there again...HEADED INSIDE to a Stones show!!! ) It was a little bit differ

...there is no possibility to trade down? Last time around, in Stockholm, my dad and I scored the very best tickets and got to almost touch Mick's feet (we didn't, because he probably would not have liked that). A week or two earlier I got nosebleed seats in Copenhagen. But anyway, my dad had an incident in December and he is not going to be able to stand for two hours straight

Any tips for someone driving in from Sweden? Is there a strategically good place to park (i.e. cheap parking near public transport leading directly to the venue) anywhere?

Thanks for the input guys. Air protection was always in my plan, but the memory thing poses more of a challenge though.

I am probably getting ahead of myself a little here, but last time they toured around here my oldest was still in his mummy's belly. We hit Oslo, Berlin, Düsseldorf and almost Stockholm (was outside the stadium but did not score any tickets), so in theory he has already been to a few. Now, almost two years later he comes running whenever dad (me) puts on Hyde Park or Totally Stripped. He

I was very fortunate to score two F-block tickets to Berlin through this forum (thanks again Marco!), so here goes: Do any of you have two (or four...) spare seat tickets for Stockholm? Since my wife is pregnant, standing is unfortunately not an option for us at this time. Will pay face value + standard ticket fee.

Thank you, MAF! I just purchased two of the seats. Still some remaining. Not the best sections of course, but better than not going!

QuoteTopi Golden Circle means the "pit" (Front of Stage) area. I assume that always implies standing? Wife is pregnant, so we better grab some seats.

My pregnant wife and I are planning to go to Germany in June, and would of course love to attend the two concerts. Any and all tips welcomed.

QuoteRockman Sigh... I do wish people would take off their sunglasses before someone snaps a photo of them. Completely impossible to recognise the person in this photograph! That said: Keep It Simple! Start the show with Rocks Off and don't stop until all of Exile has been covered. Then round it off with one or two other favorites. And this time, (I am looking at you Keith!), when I ye

I have been out of the loop for a while now, so please pardon this n00b question: Why was the 'Bigger Bang' release remastered? Wasn't it already digital enough? Were there extra bits added (16-bits not enough?)?(http://rollingstones.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=150_24328&pc=RSCD67)

QuoteRoadster32There are no highlights in SAL - this movie sucks. Wow, that was harsh. Care to elaborate? I loved it from the start. Watched it twice in the theater, and bought the blu-ray. I love the way the sound is mixed during those scenes where the camera swoops through the stage. Drums grow stronger as you approach Charlie, the guitar is cutting through everything without mercy a

I attended the concerts in Belgrade, Budapest, Gothenborg and Oslo. I am pretty sure they played "Night Time Is The Right Time" in at least one of those venues, yet I cannot find this in any of bv's playlists? Is my mind slipping? Have the DVD footage started to leak into my memory of the events I attended? Someone slip me a sanity pill please.

It'd still be nice if they at least announced it a month in advance... If it is going to happen in February won't they at least have to book the venue now? I'll be perfectly happy if the concert hap

The song is clearly about Darwinism. > I'm a fleabit peanut monkey > All my friends are junkies We've evolved from monkeys, done some great stuff (mostly huge wars over stuff that's probably worth less than the peanuts our ancestors fought over) and now we're devolving back to our primal peanut-addict core. > Well, I hope we're not too messianic >

When MS used 'Start Me Up', it was a huge deal and quite expensive too. Anyone know the pricetag for this one? Why aren't we seeing more Stones tunes in commercials? (I was very surprised when I heard SAR the other day!) Are their early works cheaper?

Nice pictures there. Sigh, my (now ex-)girlfriend was pretty hot as well, but impossible to live with. Beautiful girls should come with a set of detailed specifications ála "will empty your bank account", "will fly around with her friends every weekend and leave you to rot alone in the apartment", "will refuse to meet any of your friends and shun all your relatives"

The Stones will go on forever. None of the guys will dare checking out in fear of ending up inside Keith's nostril. Hrmf, a bunch of people around the world need to learn how to lighten up. There are wars all over this planet, and the Drudge report crowd are horrified by what someone (alledgedly) puts up their nostrils?!?
