I like the song. It's classic Stones, period. I like the groove, the overall sound, the bass, the saxophone... I also specially like the fact that the drums don't sound as if your head was into the snare and Charlie was hitting hard, as it happens to occur since what?, Dirty Work?

It's been a while since the last time I posted here, but I think the news that have surfaced over the last weeks are surprising enough to make me say "At last!!!"

Mathijs, my dear: a before/after comparison is better when the before-pic is shown, you lazy! LOL After checking my archive the main differences (aparently) seem to be on the headstock engrave design and the control knobs, isn't it?

To my taste, the best one is London sept9, 1973. There's a sbd version out there that IMHO surpasses the Brussels one, which is way too fast, as strange as it may sound. There are a bunch of good ones from 1972: the one from Welcom To NY is one of them

(I've been quite busy at work lately, but I'm glad these guitar threads keep alive. Good work, sssoul darling, have a lot of popcorn, LOL!) I think the main difference, apart from the 355 being the "top of the line model" (so the inlays and bindings and all that things were the proper ones of the best models) is that the 355 model has/had a stereo circuit, that Varitone thi

Agree with Bassplayer about MR Brussels 73 being too fast. My favourite are Ft. Worth 72 (Philly Special), MSG 26/7/72 and the best of them all: London 73 (the one available as mono sbd, can't recall the actual date, sept 8th or 9th)

I did buy the Back To Black album and I must say I enjoy it very much: classic feeling (even copying melodies: ain't no mountain high enough) and a beautiful voice.

That guitar is Ugly as hell, I must say... I think that he played one of these Versoul guitars in the Madrid gig, but I think to remember it hadn't that blue thing.

Re Brussels, if the Wembley 73 shows or Welcome To New York or Philly Special or some others would have the sound quality of Brussels, we probably would be praising these others... And I prefer Midnight Rambler from WTNY or the soundboard from Wembley 73 over the Brussels version (which is a bit too fast).

I'm not trying to hijack the board as I posted the following on the Madrid show thread, but this is my opinion on what I saw on that show, which is quite closed to what seemed to start this thread... You can pass, if you fell it's too long. (witness mode on) " Hi all. Finally back home after a trip to Madrid. Some people has stated before that they have mixed feelings a

Hi all. Finally back home after a trip to Madrid. Some people has stated before that they have mixed feelings about the Madrid gig, and I share that. It was a sometimes great, sometimes not-so-great show... As the journalist from El Pais, the main newspaper here in Spain, wrote the next day, the show had very great moments and some moments where all you could think was "my god, how old has b

Sorry to hear about your experience, stonesfrk... But reasing this thread I have the feeling that Spain is the only place in the world where you can get robbed, as if I hadn't seen "Beware of Pickpockets" signs or advices in every guide about any major city in Europe...

Hi, I have two tickets for Madrid. Sadly two of my friends can't attend. You know how things go here in Spain, the classic way: General Admission, Standing, Pitch Area, the First to come, the better the place you get... Face value, of course. Please email me to brunolago2 @yahoo.es (without the empty space)

Thanks, Gazza. I knew I could trust in getting a quick answer. In fact some of the songs are pretty obvious that I'm ashamed... (the ones on GHS, for example)... Anyway, let's drink for the hard working Ulsterians, LOL!

Are there any more songs not performed in Europe but only in the US?? And the other way?? Has been Hot Stuff ever been performed in the US, for example??? So many questions for our Ulster's friend... (BTW, how do I say it: Ulsterish, Ulsterian??)
