Quotedoitywoik QuoteHairball QuoteBungo I Love it ! I vote for you for Art Director. So far you've voted for me to be Producer and now Art Director. I now nominate myself for songwriter, guitar player, and maybe some percussion. This album would have been finished years ago - I want your vote! lol Yeah, go ahead and do it! They're not getting it done anyway. Ian will certainl

Yes .. I am glad the album buzz is ...'it's on'. I told em .. look fellas .. let's get the show on the road .. (some pun) ..these darts aren't going to stay sharp forever! - Album has been in the making for a good handful of years now (worked on in pieces, bits, and chunks). - They have ample material to go on (even enough for at least two full albums) - Still f

QuoteHairball Maybe the last time, I don't know........... What a great tune - those were the days. Imagine 14 years worth of work now vs. then. Two original tunes (between 2006 and 2020) VS. 17 entire studio albums (between 1964 and 1978).... And to think the Beatles entire recording career was completed in half that ('63-'70). Yeah I know, it's a different world, ti

QuoteGasLightStreet Mick said this new LP will be their last. BILLBOARD said A BIGGER BANG was most likely the last. BLUE AND LONESOME obviously threw a kink into that - but the amount of time that went by certainly seemed to warrant that ABB was the last LP. So now BAL is the last LP. Will be interesting if it remains that way and that they truly end their recording career with a blu

QuoteHairball QuoteIan Billen A new studio album of original material is the thing ..and 'only' thing they plan on now. Now? Like right now?! Or like 2016 when they started the supposed new album? Pre-wall now? Or post- wall now? Today, tomorrow, or next week now? Or 2022 for the 60th anniversary? I don't know..seems the only thing they have plans for now is the upcoming tou

QuoteHairball QuoteMelBelli Keith is the stumbling block. I mean that in a good, “quality control” sort of way. ... If there was another session in December, it was held pretty tightly. The first circle out from Core Four+Was (and perhaps Clifford) did not participate. Good for Keith and lucky for us (or most of us who want quality over quantity). The Core Four + Don Was....could be back

Quotedoitywoik That does shed light on a few things, Ian! Seems like you rejected all the good stuff so that only the fillers made it on the albums because they knew they were fillers and thus didn't ask you ... Quotedoitywoik QuoteMelBelli Keith is the stumbling block. I mean that in a good, “quality control” sort of way. ... Hard to say as long as one doesn't get to know/hear Keith's rejects. If Grip and Lost were really rejected by Keith as Stones songs he's got me on his side but it would be interesting to know other potential songs he rejected over the years. As for rejecting so

QuoteRocky Dijon What needs to be seen is what happens next now that Pete Townshend shared Mick's frustration that the album is taking so long. Keith and Ronnie separately did overdubs in May. The band was expected to regroup in the studio after the tour. Soldatti and others heard December, but it appears if it happened at all it was in November when Ronnie's movie premiered and Mick an

Well ya gotta remember .. As was said here .. it's selfish to expect an album or anything from them .. after all they never get in any quality family time .. The poor Jagger's ... their old man has drug them off to his hideaway at that dumpy island of Mystique (once again).. My guess is he is going to make them pick crops in the fields all day and scrub the floors by night .. ....

QuoteHairball QuoteIan Billen I am sure they have plenty of material .. over plenty of time they have spent in the studio over the past 4/5 years... The Stones have never worked on a single album for going on five years in all their career. You would think so, but with the disagreements over direction of the album, not to mention Universal thinking it was uneven, etc., you have to wonder how

There have been times when just Mick and Keith (and Don Was etc.) met in the studio a couple times ...and when Mick and Ronnie met as well in putting this together so far. There are more than likely at least three more sessions to add to the list above. This is not even counting them (Mick, Keith or perhaps even Ronnie) working on it alone ..at home or wherever ..which we saw Mick posting clips o

QuoteRocky Dijon We're presuming because no one has said they've been back in the studio since the tour ended, that they haven't done so at all. We're also trusting that's it's been "early stages" for four years because they recycle the same lines to the press when there could be a boatload of tracks, alternate versions, etc. that could be signed off on

QuoteLazarusSmith Quotewonderboy Be interesting to see how they promote this new album. The Who have shown how to promote yourself in today's marketplace. As usual, Pete writes the story for the reporter, but Daltrey has also been good this
