QuoteDoxa True, Ian, but I got the impression from Mick's sayings last year that they still need to do some more sessions as a whole band, something they couldn't then do due the lockdown. Depending on the source (Keith, Ron, Was?) they at the time had 5 to 7 songs already in the can, that is, songs selected to be good enough to be released (probably 'great' in Mick's ter

Charlies drum parts have been done. In a studio setting once the drums are recorded it is rare they need re-recorded. If that is the case the whole song might as well have to be re-cut. A group can record the drums and work on a song with new vocals .. new guitar parts .. all kinds of things and reshape the song some welllllll after the drums have been laid down. In fact .. half of the time t

So it has been over a week and we still do not know how Charlie passed on. The only other celeberity that I can think of in that being over a week after their passing and still not real clue is another great .. Marvelous Marvin Hagler (in which the general public still does not know .. which I find incredibly strange in this day and age considering he passed on months ago). Does an

I have not heard or read anything about Keith being involved in the recording apsect of the new tracks for the TY Deluxe reissue. What I know of / heard / read is of only Mick and Ronnie recording. That is not to say Keith or Charlie were not involved from a recording aspect with

I don't believe I am familiar with "Living In The Heart Of Love" concerning the title. I don't think I have even heard it's name in the various bootleg material through the years. Is this a title / song not heard of to those of you as well?

I decided to do a little segment on it due to the reissue (and it's 40th year). However I must state .. not 'all' the vocals on TY were overdubbed in 1980/1981 as was said here (backing vocals and some of Micks vocals were in the material initially unearthed by Chris Kimsey and some of that made it to the release):

No idea how long Charlie has been ill, but it does appear the illness was discovered prior to July. Charlie is expected to recover, but it's unlikely he'll join the tour later on. Thanks GlimmerGirl. Hope you get Cherry Oh Baby! Ok, so it sounds very much lik

QuoteHairball A sad and peculiar chapter towards the end of their story...not the final chapter, but it's getting there. The absence of Charlie will be always be talked about in regards to what is probably their final US tour. Thankully he's recovering, and that's about the only positive to be grateful for in this story as far as I'm concerned. Bottom line; Charlie had a

Quotebitusa2012 I wish Charlie a full and speedy recovery. He’s the (heart)beat of The Stones. And, BUT, this is the very reason I’ve been harping on about them finishing a new record. One day (soon) they simply won’t be in a position to do so. They are old. They still think Time is on Their Side. It’s not. Nor mine, truth be told, and I’d selfishly like something new from the lads! I kno

Quotejimpietryga1 I think you are exactly right with an announcement toward the end of July . Most tickets are sold so eight weeks is not too late to start at the end of Sept like BTB in 97. A lot of the venues have roofs or are in the South. Wait on the US/Canadian border to open and that will signal the announcement. __________________________________ Keep in mind .. They are much

My Guess is the 2020 Tour will be scrapped all together at this point and a new tour .. album (HOPEFULLY) etc. will be the direction for 2022. This means a New Stage .. everything will be in place for a very late Spring / Tour in 2022 (though I think the stage will be similar to what they used for No Filter). Provided Ronnie (and the rest of them) are in good shape. Ian

Ronnie may need more time. He may still be reciving treatment. He may be in a slow recovery. I do not think he is ready for this just yet. As long as they do not get out of shape.
