Quoteyeababyyea QuoteTaylor1 1989 blows away any show from 2003.The band, especially Keith were great as was the setlist . And it was Bill's last shows in America The 1989 tour was too polished, stiff and rehearsed compared to the 2003 tour. They played with much more swagger in 2003 and the overall sound was much more appealing and authentic. The guitars were horrible on

The Wembley show may exist in their private collection. What about the very good quality snippet of the concert from Australia 1973 with the ping pong balls. Maybe that exists too. For me it would be a full concert from New York 1972 as long as there are no scenes of Truman Capote and the jet set crowd

QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteTestify Ronnie is not the classic lead guitarist, nor was Brian and Keith is not But what I meant, is that there is not only the guitar solo, personally I have always been attracted by guitar rhythmic, for this I love both Keith and Ronnie. The guitar solo is only a piece of guitar work. I beg to differ. Playing a (long) guitar solo is also about understanding

QuoteJadedFaded Impossible to pick just one! First ever was very special and got me totally hooked: Philadelphia Spectrum July 21, 1972. First time up close, small theater show, amazing set list: Stockholm Cirkus, July 22, 2003. Front row center of Tongue Pit with some great friends: Anaheim, Honda Center, May 15, 2013. 60 Stones concerts. I’d say 5 were good and 55 were great. In

He was pretty good on the 1967 tour, maybe he could have got himself together. I think his main problem was he did not want to play in the band anymore by 1969. Maybe the whole Anita thing plus he could not write pop songs

Who cares if Jagger overdubbed some vocals. The fact is the instruments other than the rhythm guitar on Carol have no overdubs. And it is hardly noticeable.

The Satanic Majesties album had those bootlegs which contained multiple alternative takes of songs on the released album. There are hours of alternate takes of songs from the Let it Be Sessions There was an Imagine deluxe release with dozens of alternate album takes. Do you think the Stones or ABKCO still have these types of recordings for albums

For the performer himself, Stevie Wonder gained a him a muchbigger audience for the 1972tour, which propelled him into the biggest recording artistof the early 1970s.And the 1972 tour was never topped by the Stones.Equaled in a different way

Suppose this band with Beck , Stewart, Wood Hopkins had stayed together and were more commercial like the Faces. And maybe they added a musician like Ronnie Lane. Would they have been one of the bigger bands of the early 1970s.
