Ahh, interpreting art. I think it's a general comment on the life of work, wives, children and the soul. That diesel is the man's engine that gets him taking care of business everyday. He's got responsibilities, sighing women and crying children, but he'll be right there when the whistle blows. Hear the whistle blowing, hear it for a thousand miles. Sounds like the

Honky Tonk JJF And there ain't no third for me. The songs that come to mind aren't warhorses. Like Wild Horses. I'd like to hear that endlessly.

Brilliant. I Knotts also looks like Kareem Abdul Jabbar a little. Speaking of Mayberry, in Andy Griffin's Movie 'A Face in the Crowd' there is a little bit of music that the Stones found their way to on Beggar's Banquet. Can't think of it exactly at this moment, but if you watch the movie you'll hear it for sure. Great movie.

A Bigger Bang is better than Exile? Well, there's subjective and there's just, I don't know what. Glad you liked ABB, so did I, but come on. Exile isn't for people who want songs they can sing, tho it has enough of those. I find it to be the unfettered artistic zenith of Keith Richards' career. Jagger had to fix it up in LA, true enough, but the raggedly glorious exp

I think I'll let the Stones be the Stones. Don't let your expectations exceed your gratitude. Could you imagine the Beatles putting on kick ass shows today? The Stones are a gift. Don't look 'em in the mouth. IMHO.

Not aware Mick T played much rhythm. So I'd say Ronnie.

I've been to many shows starting in 1978 and was happy with Sunday's show. They exploded out of the gate and found many satisfying grooves. Sure, there were some over extended songs and some rough spots, but it's live two guitar weaving rock, it's not reading sheet music. It's a real live rock band and from that perspective, they were effing brilliant. Jagger is prett

1978 Anaheim Stadium. Shoe throwing show. Mick was riding a big nasty crowd. Multiparty fight started at the top of the highest stands behind home plate and tumbled down the steps while 60,000 stoned Cali loadies cheered. Slept out all night on the parking lot the night before. Recall the girl in drink line falling flat on her back and convulsing. Good times.

The Fonda did move their act for the 20th off the books, and some rock website is announcing it as a done deal. I could see the guys wanting to warm up with something a little bigger than a small club like the Echo. Tickets will be sucked up by those with the wherewithal, per usual. I'll monitor it but will be fine with Petco on Sunday. But it would be awsome to get in. LA has such a go

Way too big a set of logistics for Dave in his wind down mode. And it would upstage Dave's last hurrah. But, hey, what a great idea!

Fingerprint File. It's the soundtrack to our NSA times. It's all secrecy, and no privacy.

I think Doom and Gloom has a lot of energy. Love it. Any lyrics where Mick stresses the word "face" is alway fun.
