'Ello, Friend of mine is putting an auction of rock memorabilia for charity and was wondering if/when Charlie ever used a bass drum head (front cover) with the Stones tongue logo on it. Apparently someone donated one but it's hard to find photos of such a thing ever being used. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

That poster is shite.

I think that poster stinks. The others (even as far back as 2014) incorporate local flair into an artistic presentation. This one is just a literal rendering of the stadium with some block letters. Sweet smog coloring, too.

QuoteThe Sicilian Quotewellalright what's not respectable about this show? i'm sure for many on this tour, it's the first time they've seen the band. yeah, lets do "can you hear the music" and "ventilator blues" Dude if you don't get it yet you never will. Please already with the first time seeing them crap. They have been around over 50 years, if

Yes, but the selection never actually matters. The song that wins the fan vote is typically the most obvious/dull choice, which lends strength to the "Mick just picks" theory. If they had this as the options: Undercover (of the night); 2000 Light Years From Home; Paint it Black; and One Hit to the Body Do you have any doubt, whatsoever, which one would "win"?

Hmm...Tough decision. To risk getting it a little wet vs. waiting until July to get it in the mail.

Quoteweinerdog Quoteportlandphil Great images for Minneapolis. Interesting that they have 2 posters for this show. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the numbered ones for sale at the venue and the ones sold at RS.com ? Wish they had the poster/ t shirt bundle deal at the show in SD. I just picked up mine - identical to what is on the website except for the numbering. Unrel

Quoteflacnvinyl Like A Rolling Stone - out of all the covers, why not a blue or classic rocknroll tune? what happened to their love of Muddy Waters tunes?? Because this guy named Bob Dylan grew up in Minnesota and went to college at the University of Minnesota, which happens to be hosting a concert tonight.

So far, I'd rank the posters: 1) Minneapolis Loon 2) San Diego 3) Minneapolis Spoonbridge 4) Columbus In addition to being the least aesthetically striking, Columbus also gets docked points because the RR Hall of Fame isn't even in Columbus; it's in Cleveland, so the concept doesn't make sense. EDIT: vis a vis the 2014 Lithos, I think the Minneapolis Loon still mig

Re: Kinks: What are you talking about? Almost all of the Kinks albums up to "Everybody's In Showbiz" have the entire band on the cover, and those that don't don't have any band members on the cover (like "Arthur" and "Percy"). None of them up to that point feature just Ray. By my count, 27/31 Kinks albums either don't have Ray on the cover a

Exactly! It's one thing to say "I wish they were coming to my city. Oh well." and it's another to say "Because they aren't coming to my city, this tour is trash!" We all know that if the tour went to NYC, all of the NYC people here saying "I'm done!" would be lining up for tickets. And, ya, the setlist will be boring, but it's been

Bunch of east coast whiners because, for once, the tour isn't focused on NYC/BOSTON/PHILLY. Sour grapes. It's going to be the same tour they've been rolling out there for 10 years, except *this time* it's not good enough. Right.

Define "Mainstream Market". Dallas, Detroit, Atlanta, San Diego, and Minneapolis are all large or comfortably midsize markets; top 20 in the States. All of them are bigger than Denver, which people keep harping on about them skipping this time around. The Stones have played them all before, multiple times. It's not like they are rolling out to Asheville, NC and Springfield,

Tickets seem to be moving, albeit a little slowly. A week ago, $150 seats were available in 209/242. Now they are out to 214/237. No price drop on floor seats.
