I managed to score a pair of tickets in the middle of A1. These were "VIP Black" and at $549+fees were cheaper than "San Diego Preferred Presale" in the same section ($680). I'm happy with these (I'm too old to spend 3 hr standing in the pit). In the heat of the moment I also opted for ticket insurance but I have 10 days to cancel after I have time to read the fin

Scored a pair of tickets in A2 at face value via fan club presale. Took about 40 minutes overall. Discovered that an American Express Serve card (prepaid card) will no longer work for the American Express presale. I saw the Stones at SDCCU Stadium (then called Qualcomm Stadium) in 1998 (Bridges to Babylon tour).

WooHoo! Two floor level tickets on Keith's side (section A2) for the San Diego show at face value through fan club presale. I was in the waiting room approx 40 min. Perhaps the most amazing part is that I just spent $1,000 for two tickets . . . and feel like I got a good deal.

San Diego local here. SDCCU stadium (formerly Qualcomm Stadium) is located in Mission Valley, 10 miles or so north of downtown. Unfortunately there are no hotels within easy walking distance. The nearest hotels are a couple of miles away and include the Mission Valley Marriott, Springhill Suites Mission Valley and the Days Inn and Rodeway Inn on Adobe Falls Rd. Another option is using the S

I managed to score a pair of decent field level seats yesterday so my wife and I will be making the drive from San Diego to Glendale in May. I reserved a room at the Renaissance, which appears to be a very easy walk from the stadium. All the advice from locals is greatly appreciated.

Last time (Zipcode tour) I couldn't find good seats right away so I panicked and paid a ridiculous amount for VIP tickets. Great seats, though. This time I vowed never again. After a couple of frustrating hours I ended up with some pretty decent seats for the Glendale show. I discovered that re-entering the fan club code word would cause the seat selection to refresh, so I did this re

Thanks ever so much Roger for doing this. Unfortunately, when I try to download part 1 I get this error message: "The download isn't available anymore." I was able to download part 2 and part 3 with no problem.

Quoteflacnvinyl I have a quick question for those of you who attended. On the picture below, where did the main PA stacks hang? From the videos and photos it looks as though the main center stacks hung in the center of A3 and A6. Just curious where the line array actually hangs in relation to the floor seats. You are correct. We were in the middle of A6 and a huge speaker stack was dir

Quotej22surf Read in the UT this morning they played a private show at the Belly Up in Solana Beach last night. Can anyone confirm? That is a fact. No, I was not there.

Speaking of private parties, the Stones are still here in San Diego, or were as of a couple of hours ago. They did a private party at the Belly Up, a local live entertainment bar. A local gazillionaire reportedly paid "$2-5 million" to hire them for the evening. The same guy hired Paul McCartney for a private party a year or two ago.

For those driving to the show, prepaid parking is now on sale at the Padres Rolling Stones web page. Parking at the tailgate lot is $35, parking at the Padres Parkade parking garage is $30. Both are about a block from the ballpark. This is only really needed if you want to be guaranteed a parking spot close to the ballpark. There are plenty of parking lots downtown if you don't min

I contacted the Padres (via live chat) regarding pre-paid parking, and was told that a link to purchase parking will be added to the page where tickets are purchased "in a week or so." Of course, I asked the same question right after tickets went on sale and was told that the link would be up "in a couple of days." Finally, the FAQ on the ticket page has this to say abo

The platinum tickets are just very good, very expensive seats. You don't get any swag like the VIP packages.

Quotekeepmehappy So there's a "Platinum" button next to "General Public". Who qualifies for platinum? What does it mean? You "qualify" if you have a credit card with a really high credit limit.

Quotesarahunwin Anyone know what the Platinum category is that just appeared alongside GEneral Public on the Padres website? Platinum tickets are for those who want the very best seats and don't mind paying an arm and a leg to get them. During the presale typical pricing was $2000 - $4500 each for floor seats in the first few rows. I guess they decided to give the scalpers some competition

QuoteWondering I don't have tickets yet, but can anyone suggest hotels that are closes to Petco Park? Any within 4 blocks? Thank you. Wondering. Still don't know where to go online for tickets at 10:00am tomorrow, anyone know? The closest hotel is the Omni, which is literally next door to Petco Park. It is so close that it even has its own private entrance to the park for hotel guest

They apparently have released more tickets for the Amex presale. I just looked and was able to pull up some decent P2 level seats, even though yesterday it was showing no availability. So if you haven't gotten tickets yet (and have an Amex card) it might be worth another look. Also, according to justakissaway.rocks the password for today's Pandora presale is zipper2015. Good luck!

Whew - what a morning. Struggled with tickets.com for over an hour, threw back tickets in A10 and A11, numerous "unable to process . . ." and then P1 level tickets were no longer an option. Took a look at Sapphire VIP packages - after a few attempts pulled up A6 row 20 - exactly where I wanted to be. Swallowed hard a few times and pulled the trigger. A lot of money, but exactly th
