QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteGJV The regular version now costs just £17.93 on the UK Amazon. Is there a deluxe version? I think it comes with actual Stones memorabilia. Where does one obtain that version? It was announced by Genesis earlier this year. It sold out in 24 hours becoming their fastest ever sell out edition. It was due to come with 5 it

QuoteGJV The regular version now costs just £17.93 on the UK Amazon. It's up to £18.05 now which is a stronger performance than any share index! I just had an order of 400 copies from one collector to send out as Christmas gifts...

Sorry I am late to the party... (thanks for the nudge Topi) It's super simple, this was never given to Mick Jagger. Most record awards are basically merchandise and many more are completely unofficial fakes. There are some good sources posted above to start learning but this category has as many pitfall (nearly) as autographs. There is no substitute for learning and there is no short cu

"The Ivy" on West Street was an original hang out of many celebrities. Ronnie was commissioned by Andrew Lloyd-Webber and painted a triptych of many of those guests which included Mick Jagger. "The" Ivy now has many locations so isn't really THE anymore. The other branches aren't anywhere near as exclusive or expensive but they are leveraging the brand. The Ivy

QuoteNashvilleBlues I appreciate what you do for the fans. Wish I could go to your museum. You are always welcome... now the tour is over and I am around more it is open by appointment. Maybe for those that can't travel I could do a cabinet by series of short videos.

QuoteStoneage Congrats, Matt. I only have one question. It might be a bit impertinent so you don't have to answer it if you don't want to. - Do you make a living out of these Stones related activities or do you have a regular job on the side? The truth is when I first moved to London I was on £1,175 take home pay a month with rent and bills that consumed 90% of that. I began autogr

Ian McCausland and John Pasche between them designed my absolute favourite posters. A kiwi 1973 poster is the ultimate 70’s Stones collectible bar none. Much love and respect.

2007 was the first time Ronnie called me and we spent 6 hours together…. My golden years were the five years following. The story of the album is in the forthcoming deluxe edition of Hot Stuff which includes Solo sections for each Stone. It’s a great story… I pitched Ronnie the idea while driving him from his home where I had spent the afternoon into central London. The funniest part was when

I would have defaulted to The Fountain of vinyl knowledge JR on this one… outside of what I would call the memorabilia vinyl pieces, Street Fighting Man, Beast of Burden, Promotional Album etc… Discogs is your best bet. Hit me up for posters, tour memorabilia etc…. That’s where info is much harder to obtain and therefore what I spend my time studying

QuoteDaveG Loved the article! When I watched the video of Out of Time from Madrid, it brought tears to my eyes. I’ve been a fan since 1964 and to see that wonderful song performed love for the first time was epic and deeply moving. Matt, I wonder, when and where was the shot of you and Charlie taken? A great pic!! I was so glad I didn’t stop recording… I watch the Madrid Out of Time and Berl

QuoteMore Hot Rocks That pic of Matt from the article. Is he in front of the barrier wall? Wow! Your the man Matt! Sadly trapped behind the barrier like everyone else... does make the shot tough especially with the fans / monitors etc... means I do quite a lot of tight shots to exclude the obstacles from the composition but it makes it harder to keep steady! I am just glad people enjoyed the v

I am not sure where the middle ground is. There is such high fixed costs in a book production and distribution. If they were $100 people would still say it was too expensive and not buy it as a subject matter like this is niche. Books like "postcards from the boys" (cards sent by the Beatles to Ringo) first came out as a limited edition and then made it to mass publication because it

A truly beautiful book and given it comes with a signed Ronnie print and is genuinely rare with just 950 copies it is good value vs. the other high end book being discussed at the moment! A fitting tribute to Stu. I know there is much debate here about this kind of project and I have said it before but there just isn't the market for a mass production book on a niche topic. You wouldn&

The originals were not printed on linen, however someone may have linen backed one, a very common practice in movie poster collecting to iron out the folds. There are way fewer original 1972 posters than people think. Many will tell you they bought theirs at the show as indeed it was a merch line in 1981. Does that count as original? Not in my book but an "original merch" item yes.
