QuoteRoom1009 Hey Matt - if it's in a public place, can we pop along to offer support and view progress? Good luck anyway. Bob Yes! The count is taking place at Cafe Amisha on Grange Road in Bermondsey. Anyone is welcome. The whole count is being filmed but it won't make the oscars.

Quote24FPS Any chance we could see some of it? Good luck. I will be sharing my collection next year more widely in two ways, a museum and a book. Until then I have a display room set up in my house which I welcome people to visit whenever it's set up and I am around. Quite a few people here have seen it when the London shows happened last year.

QuoteIrix Good luck from me too - I keep my fingers crossed. Matt, do you know when Stones-Exhibitionism will go on (other than Groningen 2020/21) since you have loaned items there? There are a bunch of cities under discussion but the dates haven't yet been confirmed

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Don’t forget to count this one... Unfortunately it's unofficial so doesn't count! I have found a total of 197 different official picks... I must have a few more different ones but at least point I think I have enough (at least for the record!).

I just need much more flexibility of format... I am not really a vinyl collector but I do have most of the essential vinyl items like, the IBC 5 track acetate (one of the real ones!), the Decca White Label Promotional Album (unboxed) and Street Fighting Man US Picture Sleeve, also a bunch of No.1 Limited 7"'s etc... and these are relatively easy to do in basic music software but the pro

Quotewhitem8 I also visited London eight years ago and Matt was very generous with his time. He came and picked me up in is Austin Martin and took me over to his flat and we hung out and looked through his stuff. And then went and had lunch at sticky fingers. What a great time! Matt and I have the same first name and the same birthday! Thanks again Matt! The collection is approximately 10 times

Quoteroller99 Just use Excel Matt, it has the flexibility to allow you to categorize and sort on any field. It's quite easy to do advance tasks, such as sorting based on color, pivot tables, etc. Think of it as a cabinet, with each file in each drawer translating into a file folder, but with the ability to cross reference. I'll even set it up for you if you want. No big deal. Hi R

Quotedubclub A big advantage of discogs is, that (almost) every record is in their database. It‘s very easy/fast to add a record to your collection, especially if there’s a barcode on the cover. I use the discogs app and the camera of my mobile phone. The probllem with Discogs is it's just records... I am not saying I don't collect records but they are probably 1% by volume of my co

At the moment my collection is catalogued in my head but the more items I get (somewhere north of 50,000) and the older I get I find it harder to remember if I have every colour variation etc... of a particular item. Ideally I want to be able to catalogue items, categorise them, have basic info like country of origin and year and a picture. Have notes of how many I have or condition etc...

These situations are always super sad, much respect to Amanda for asking a very reasonable price and looking for a buyer that wants to keep the collection together. So often do people inheriting collections think they are sitting on a gold mine. If there aren't any super valuable records then sadly collections really aren't worth much because of the cost of shipping, sorting, storing a

Dear All, Many of you know Zach Niles and have relied on his tireless efforts to make sure you all get what you need. Zach is a super generous and kind man and manages a Haitian band in his spare time! The band, Lakou Mizik, have a mission to use the healing spirit of music to communicate a message of pride, strength, and hope for their country. Zach is far too humble to ask for help but liter

In Philadelphia on Zip Code I was with a friend in a wheelchair and it took A LOT of debate with security for him to be allowed in the pit with me. They kept asking what would happen if there was a fire and I politely explained I would wheel him out. I also pointed out that their raised platform for wheelchair users had a lift that took one chair up or down at a time. What was going to happen t
