We live in Houston and I hate to admit, we are all pretty excited about this. Gonna be an exciting night. We have had so many "misses" over the years...it looks like this one is coming. Already getting pretty windy outside and we have 8 hours till landfall.

Interesting thread....Barry McGuire...when I was in high school in the early 1970's (around 1973) Barry McGuire came to our school for a "talk" in the school auditorium...he was a Christian speaker and singer and played some Christian songs and I rememeber (because I still had the single on 45 rpm) that he said he would never play that song again because of the negativity...havent

It was played back to back with Saint of Me on the BTB shows that I saw....one of the few songs that I had never heard before seeing it in concert and I was completely blown away....Mick was crazy flying around the stage (Houston)...and Saint of Me was fantastic as well....that was a great tour!

First time for my wife and I to see the Stones live...after 20 yrs of wasted opportunities! Saw them in Houston at The Compaq Center which only had seating for 11,000 people...one of the smaller venues for the Stones in a long time. Fantastic show...been to countless since...

I always love this song. Favorite was probably the first time I saw the Stones because it was all so fantastic....last year at Zilker park was really quite fun...Mick was all over the place...a great sing-a-long.

If im not mistaken, Street Fighting Man is the back side of my Jumping Jack Flash 45rpm (the one with the cool photo on the front with the Stones in masks!) I think it has Child on the moon on the back side. -------------------------------- Without having to dig thru a box in the back of my closet....you are correct! I remember now.

First for me was $55 for the BTB Tour...escalated quickly after that to $85 for No Security, $400 for 40 Licks (several shows)and $400 for BB (several shows).....become kind of a hobby for my wife and I...actually paid $600 a seat for 2nd row for 40 Licks. But we still love it.

My wife gave me the DVD set for my birthday last night. We went to the Austin show and could feel that there was something a bit "different" about the show while it was going on. Going to sit down and watch the DVD shortly!

I saw the original Aqualung tour in 1973 (?) and saw Tull again about 5 years ago and there was no comparison. Total disappointment and then when they launched into a "medley" of Aqualung songs.....I was almost out the door. Sometimes you just "cant go back".
