plenty of Hotels around. In case you wanna have some drinks before or later, best to stay in Bochum (Bermuda Dreieck) or Essen. Plenty of places to go. Hotels in Gelsenkirchen - Ibis are good. Heiners nice but not unexpensive. Plaza would be a good option but they just use it as emergency for ukrainian refugees. Buer has several hotels, Monopol e.g. is pretty close. Closest one is the stay

Parking at Gelsenwasser could help. As said above, try to avoid parking A-C. you could also park in Buer or downtown and use the tram. Stadium is easy accesible. If you wanna go for a pint or two before the show, Buer is the place to go.

Gents, as I am living in Gelsenkirchen I would be happy to help if there are any inquiries. In general, infrastructure is good as it is used to football matches. If you like short ways stay in the northern part, there are some hotels and the better restaurants. cheers
