They went on at 9 p.m. last night. I imagine it'll be the same for tonight and tomorrow.

I'm seeing the Black Crowes tonight in Philly. One of the bands that tides me over until the next Stones tour!

Great movie! Jack Black is phenomenal in it. Incidentally, I live a few blocks away from the real school of rock in Philly, which was the inspiration for the movie.

Perhaps you're being too technical about it. That tune kicks a** as much as any they ever did. Might be Taylor'absolute finest moment.

timbernardis - I think it's 2 p.m. By the way, do people who purchased only 1 ticket need to register as well? I purchased one ticket and received the standard confirmation e-mail from Ticketmaster. I then printed a copy of my confirmation and deleted the e-mail. A short time later, while reading the printed copy, I noticed small print that said, "Your order is NOT complete until you

To add, I've always firmly thought that if aliens actually did land on Earth at some point in time, our music is the single greatest gift we could give them.

I always roll my eyes when someone exclaims, "I love music." Duh. That's pretty much the same as saying, "I love sex," or "I love breathing." It's one of those things that just goes without saying. If you don't love music, you simply don't have a soul, imo.

Bjornulf - I was going to clarify your post for everyone, but you beat me to it. I have no idea why people didn't understand what you were saying. The words were written clearly enough, yet somehow it still confused some people. Odd.

Clearly I'm in the minority, but I've always liked DMB. I think their music is funky and original, and if it weren't for the teeming hordes of teens and college kids who live and breath each waking second for them, I think they'd be accepted by a lot more people. That said, I've never been interested in seeing Dave sing with the Stones. He doesn't belong up there

You rock, JKF. Your decision to not enter the contest to give a chance to someone else is pretty damn classy. Can't imagine too many people are behaving that way. No worries, buddy. If I win, I'll make sure and send you something fab from the show.

GTinsdale - You make some good points, but the idea of Ticketmaster's site crashing from the deluge of requests is not one of them. On the 2002 tour, tickets for the Orpheum in Boston, the Tower in Philly, Roseland in NYC and the Aragon in Chicago were all sold through ticketmaster. The site handled the traffic just fine.

Checked ticketmaster.com today and noticed that a show called Gals Too Big For Broadway, which was scheduled to run at the Beacon from today until Oct. 21, has been cancelled in its entirety. Wonder if it has anything to do with the Stones shows and the impending ticket sales?

Yep. Definitely a little freaky. But I think she kinda has a point. She just wants to share her Stones video boots with the rest of the world. Can't blame her fer that.

My favorite stage is the one with nothing on it except the band. I don't go for the massive props. They mean nothing to me. I'm there purely for the music, not the stage design. Although I will admit the stage -- on the '89 tour, I think? --with the giant, inflatable Honky Tonk women was cool.

I paid $250 for a lower box in Hershey and loved every delicious second of it. Sure I was "behind" the stage, but I was also only 30-40 feet from the band and Woody and Lisa and Blondie spent practically the whole show waving and smiling at us. Plus, when Mick came up onto the riser to sing Sympathy, he was so close to me that I could have spit on him ... had I wanted to. And as for the

America has a reputation among the rest of the world for brewing lousy beer. But the reality is, there are many, many independent regional breweries across the country that produce outstanding beers. In fact, while Brooklyn Lager is indeed a tasty beer, it's not even close to being considered among our finest.

Ha! That review is hilarious. Thanks for posting it! Just goes to show that people who don't have a rock n' roll bone in their body shouldn't be writing rock 'n roll reviews.

I agree with your post, Andrea. You hit the nail on the head, and did it diplomatically. A lot of people probably don't wanna hear that the Stones don't fire on all cylinders anymore, but it's definitely true. Yeah, of course they're a better band than the Who, but you wouldn't know it anymore. Still, as much as I bemoan their current state, I'd absolutely hate to

Thanks bigfrankie. Actually, my version of Forth Worth is closer to a 4, so I'm definitely gonna be on the lookout for the Jointrip version that you and others say is a 6. It's a profound shame that a better version of the show doesn't exist. Fort Worth '78 is my God. In fact, if I had access to a time machine and could pick only one destination in human history, the '

OK, guys, thanks a lot for the input. I'm totally aware of the difference in picture quality between official releases -- i.e., Four Flicks, Live at the Max, etc. -- and bootlegs. I was just wondering if the Fort Worth show existed in a quality as good as, say, Ladies & Gentlemen, for instance. Sounds like the 8 track version is of slightly better quality than the one I have now.

Does a complete, above-average-quality video exist of this show? I have a boot DVD titled Let Me Bleed, which says it was shot in Atlanta '78. But that's clearly an error, 'cause it was definitely shot at Fort Worth. However, the picture is awful, the sound is weak, and the disc contains only five tracks. Would love to find a better, complete version of this show.

Let's see, 2 more songs would have made it the greatest show. But instead it was just average. By that logic, would one fewer song have made it a terrible show?

Cool. Great to see the younger crowd here. I'm only 37, but I feel like an old-timer compared to them. Just curious, how did you 'kids' get into the Stones? Was it because of their post-1990 stuff, or was it because of their classics?

Oh no! Not another 'I miss the old days thread'! Next you'll be bemoaning the loss of MT and wondering whatever happened to $12 tickets. Quit living in the past, you old fossil. Ha! Of course you know I'm kidding, Kyle. I agree with you. There seems to be a certain edginess missing here these days. Let's taunt someone and bring back the good 'ol days!
