QuoteIrix What's next? Potsdamer Platz because Roger Waters played there in 1990? Wild speculation isn't helpful. For the venue discussion see the Berlin travel&show thread - . And the tour list says now Olympic Stadium - . s My post was just an answer about the alternative venue for concert in Berlin... No need to get "Angry"

Quoteslewan QuoteMRAmandaJones For Berlin: Reichstag Platz (?) very unlikely. I don't think it's used for commercial purposes. Plus there would be security problems In the 80's, Bowie and M. Jackson played there.

QuoteBowieStone QuoteMRAmandaJones Hippodrome de Longchamp is not too small. It's a very huge site. It depends on the way you manage it. There were 85.000 people for each concert of the Stones in 95. Quotegotdablouse That sounds like a lot, 100k max maybe (was it 80k in 1995 for the Stones ?) but apparently here they're reusing the Lollapalooza festival setup and that's designed for 50k. Longchamp is a very large lawn (1 million people for John Paul II). In 95, there were two concerts of 80.000 people. This time, setup seems to be only 50.000 But they could increase the cap

QuoteSister Marie Quotedierdz Hey! I'll be in Boulogne-Billancourt area, 45 minutes walking to the venue. How is that zone? I should consider something? Is nice to walk to the venue? Thanks! Hello! I can be wrong and someone who already went to a big concert/festival at the Hippodrome will give you more informations but in my opinion the entrance will be "route de Sèvres" the main

Longchamp is capacity is not 50.000. Rather 80.000/100.000 for a rock concert. Longchamp capacity record est 1 million people (JP II Mass).

QuoteDeanGoodman QuoteMRAmandaJones And Longchamp is located in a very safe and calm part of Paris. Not the case of Stade de France... D'accord. Pretty central by Stones standards (vs. Spielberg, Werchter, Circuit of the Americas, etc.). Just an 80-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. 40 minutes by metro/bus from Châtelet (center of Paris).

Quotenovica Quotegotdablouse QuoteWelshEdge1 Longchamps is a decent venue. San Siro is iconic. Longchamp is not a "venue" it's a field in the middle of nowhere. Acceptable for a festival I suppose but for a single concert it makes no sense other than the fact that it must be cheaper to hire as there is practically zero infrastructure, unlike a stadium. The UArena on the other

Hippodrome of Longchamp is not in the middle of nowhere, it's in inner Paris, close to Rolland Garros and Parc des Princes. It's really much easier to go to Longchamp than to go to Stade de France. Untill the building of Stade of de France, much of the big concerts in Paris took place in one of the parisian hippodrome: Vincennes, Longchamp or Auteuil.

QuoteMonsoon Ragoon They don't want to play their blues tracks, what they want is to make as much money as possible. Hence I doubt the new rumours (?) about a possible arena tour. And if they tour arenas, don't have too high expectations. One example: early on the Licks Tour they played Stray Cat Blues in arenas, later in Europe it was moved to the club gigs, because it didn't rea

Just look at 2013 set lists (NA) and 2014 set lists (Europe)... Even 2015 US stadiums set lists were more interesting than the 2014 set lists... During the Lick Tour, the US Arenas set lists were far more exciting than the few european Arenas set lists. But, I can understand that people are ready to pay 150€ to listen (again) to "You got me rocking", "Tumbling dice",

In the 50's, Rock n' Roll was a "new" music, inspired by older traditionnal and popular musics (country, R&B, Blues). This music was created ans played by young people, and belongs to their generation. In this way, this music wasn't alwnays appreciated by older people. It was a classic opposition between generations. Today, everyone (young, teenagers, adults,
