The July 25 evening show is one of the best performances of the tour, the playing is way better and more aggressive than the widely available following night. Very high energy set, the band are giving their all and it is one of the very few times where they managed to get Rocks Off "right". Longest Midnight Rambler of the whole tour, too.

Quotedcba Agreed. The band is absolutely on fire, perfectly locked into each other and the brilliant Gimme Shelter sounds like the end of the world here.

Quotemarko Quotedcba July 11. And the video show is July 12. After all it seems that Jagger and Eagle Vision were right after all... Just wait,so what about the all the other releases of july 11th show? Are they actully july 12th? And the july 12th the one and only complete audience recording? is that july 11th as well? Correct. Everything that has previously believed to have been J

Sadly, only the Texas & Philly runs were professionally recorded (7 shows in total). To me, it appears the Ft. Worth & Houston material was lost / thrown away during the production of the L&G movie, otherwise I am sure they would have remixed the audio for the 2010 re-release and maybe would have added bonus content as Eagle Rock did for all other releases. Instead, the audio released

I listened to the new mix today and I agree, it sounds a lot better than the 2014 Bob Clearmountain mix, it's almost like listening to a different show. It sounds exactly how one would expect if you are familiar with the Sam Wheat July 11 mix which I really like. Much better instrument separation, "punchier" guitars and more natural sounding drums, mixed upfront where they belo

Despite the seemingly atrocious mastering job, I am still looking forward to hearing the remix. I have always preferred the sound of the officially released July 11 audio on the From the Vault DVD which was also mixed by Sam Wheat. Way more punch on the guitars and better drum response.

Quoteexilestones OK Everyone is going to try and gather information on the ABKCO copyright release and see what is new. For instance Ya Ya’s JJ Flash IS Nov 27, BUT Jagger re-did his vocals…SOOOOO we technically do have “two Different versions” of the performance from 11/27. Correct. Ya-Ya´s is the 27-11 instrumental track with vocal overdubs. No other alterations. Quoteexilestones I

QuoteSighunt Either my ears are deceiving me but I have spent the last 1/2 hour listening to several live tracks from MSG 11/27/69 (Stray Cat blues, Midnight Rambler, Live With Me, Queenie) and 11/28/69 (Jack Flash, Sympathy for the Devil, Queenie) that sound close to the raw, undubbed soundboards (??) that I have never heard before in this quality!! The MSG 1969 stuff is unbelievably good. This is the holy grail right there. It appears 27-11 and 28-11 late are complete. 28-11 early has only 3 tracks unless I missed the rest. Too bad about the compressed audio and watermark tone. Maybe the high pitch tone can be eliminated somehow. What a shame we need to listen to these crappy Youtube streams and this material has not gotten the pr

Quotedcba Was it played at all? The release of this new JEMS tape makes me really wonder if they did SFTD that night : the recording is complete minus the tape flips so if the song had been performed it would have been on the recording. And the superb (but bland and lifeless to my ears...) tape that was put on VGP-039 also stops after JJF. So we have two recordings made by two different t

This is a great find, finally the complete show and proof that Uptight/Satisfaction encore was indeed played at the matinee, probably because they were recording the Philly concerts and to have more material to choose from. Fantastic performance too, incl. the previously uncirculating tracks. The band was tight at this point of the tour. Can you believe that The Stones own the multitracks

QuoteSilver Dagger The Meters were one of the best. Saw them 5 times during the Stones tenure at Earl's Court in 76. That´s just awesome, "Fire On The Bayou" is one of ma all-time favorite albums. The Meters were a direct influence on The Stones´ sound during that period.

Quoteandrewm I think you're talking about the version in CS Blues. I love that bit, if it's the one you're referring to. The audio of the @#$%& Blues version is actually this Houston 06/25 1st performance. The footage is from San Francisco 06/06 1st. Same for the Happy and (probably) the Brown Sugar live clips in CS Blues: audio from Houston 06/25 1st, video from Los Angeles 0

A full 1975 set from the multitracks, one of my Holy Grails! This is going to put the 1975 tour bashers to shame... I´ve only listened to the samples so far but it seems like everything is from the 13th, it seems like they even kept that glorius trainwreck version of Happy. Hopefully, they left Mick´s in between song talk ("I think I´m gonna to take a sh*t now") intact as well.
