I just saw a post from the stones on Facebook saying they are playing Lincoln financial field in Philly on August 1. Maybe it was posted accidentally. Is there a way to post a screen shot?

Love that one seems completely live and while the make up one is an over dub of the single with live vocal.

The stones are actually more responsive to fans wishes for varied set lists now versus 1969, ‘72, 75 etc when the set lists hardly changed at all from show to show within a given tour.

When was the last time more than 75% of the set list was songs from the 60’s?

One could complain of Dean that’s he’s just repackaging the same complaints over and over. How about some new complaints…or rareties?

Quoteemotionalbarbecue S. Jordan and Darryl Jones are extraordinarie musicians. No one has doubts about it. They know it, we know it. The deserve all respect. But come on...Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman are the foundations of sound of the best rocknroll band in the world. Jordan and Jones know it. And we do know it. We can not compare apples to oranges... There is not rationale behind

I love Charlie, so much that I cancelled my Pittsburgh tickets rather than seeing the band without him. But I think I made a terrible mistake. Because the band sounds great and I think they are excited and reinvigorated by Steve’s drumming. Not that they don’t miss Charlie, or wished this turn of events, but given the reality and the desire to keep going, I think them made a fantastic decision

QuoteLynd8 It's easy to say money but it can hardly be that big a deal at this point - they must have enough for themselves and future generations. Good genes, good luck, ability to change with the times, a loyal following and love of performing has to be the top 5. Couldn’t agree more. Money is rarely a true enduring motivator. Usually much more personal drives and needs are the engine.

Clearly success (making money having an enthusiastic fan base) helps longevity, but I don’t think the money is what really keeps them going. Not that they don’t enjoy it and what it brings.

Last night’s show really put a spotlight on many things I feel have allowed the band to hold it together this long and still be such a powerful force of nature. Feel free to add and expand: 1. Deep Love (of each other, the music, the enterprise) 2. Deep Loyalty (to each other, the music, the enterprise) 3. The music 4. Smart business decisions 5. Making Concessions (to time, age, changing

The Stones could swing so hard because Charlie could swing so hard. So many of my favorite little moments, breaks and turnarounds in stones songs kick off with Charlie taking the band to a new level. I’m gonna miss the sound of his toms, snair, and hi hat. My heart goes out to all who loved the man and his music.

BV - Is there any chance they would play anywhere else before Fall...or does this mean that Fall (if it happens) will be the only RS shows this year?

I would like to "thank" all the people who complain about warhorses for the version of "Come Together" I just watched on YouTube. Oh boy. With a catalog so deepas they have, why the Stones would cover a middling Beatles song is a head scratcher. Otherwise they sounded really great from all the vids I;'ve seen so far.,

Love both bands...but they are completely different. The Stones swing in a way the dolls never could (dotted 8th versus straight ahead rock n roll). If you pick up a guitar and play like Johnny, then play like Keith, you will know instantly how different they are...and how wonderfully they co-exist. No reason to choose.

I think you have to go back to the seventies to see the band this explosive,on top of their game and having -- seemingly -- a great time. So glad I flew to Nashville for this music city show. Probably one of the best of the many I've seen since 72. Any quibble will be forgotten in ten years when I can say I was there.

I love the way the Stones performed Bitch live circa 1970-1972, especially the extended "hey hey hey" part and additional riffs not on the official Sticky Fingers release. So imagine my surprise hearing the extended version of bitch from the new Sticky Fingers reissue and learning that what I thought were concert-only additions to the song were really worked out elements from the stu
