Quotekeithsman would be out of place these days with the political correct brigade being all snowflake and offended by it Not really. I guess if you think that gay is a derogatory term. That’s not “being a snowflake” as you deem it. Boy I can’t wait until your generation dies out and mine becomes the dominant one. A brighter future indeed.

Quotestonehearted A major event like the Kinks reuniting, and the source is "pitchfork.com"? The Kinks “reuniting” is not a major event. Enter the 21st century and listen to 30 albums released this year, I dare you.

I cringe every time this thread comes up. Most of the posters on this site are stuck in the 70s anyway. Best albums of 2018 so far: Amen Dunes - Freedom Kali Uchis - Isolation Parquet Courts - Wide Awake Beach House - 7 The Voidz - Virtue Jon Hopkins - Singularity Arctic Monkeys - Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino Daniel Avery - Song for Alpha Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Sex &

Well. I can’t put into words what this band does to me. Absolutely great performance - this is my 5th time since Hyde Park #1 2013, and they really do get better every time. The woman next to me said I was just as entertaining as the gig itself - not sure if that was a compliment or dig lol. I will admit I can’t stop moving when these guys play. If you’re here, hello and thanks aha! I lo

At the front of golden circle - slight drizzle for now, but good vibes so far, aside from the stench of meat. Lighting joints for Ashcroft - happy gig guys. Peace x

I don’t know what happened after London #2, but the band got seemingly better. This tour looks to be so much better than last year (which was the best performance I’d seen of them so far - Arnhem). Cannot wait for Edinburgh

Given that the gig is on a Saturday rather than a weekday will mean that it'll certainly be drunker. I was there in 1999. The most badly behaved concert crowd I've ever been in. No Golden Circle or Pit, just whole floor GA and very

QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack Will the crowd be as boring as Dublin in Edinburgh? Also is it allowed to smoke ? The crowds are boring because it’s full of old, rich white men. As much as I love the Stones, I feel like an outsider at their gigs. Men over 40, sea of beer bellies, a little self conscious = extremely boring crowd. I feel much more at home at an LCD Soundsystem, Queens of the S

QuoteHamsterjovial Quotefalo01 QuoteHamsterjovial I'm actually to see them playing a show without Satisfaction once, just to see audience reactions hahaha If someone of the organization reads it... that was fun to see in 1999 (USA) with all the occasional fans complaining... lol Didn't even know that it happened so recently. Really cool haha just like Jethro Tull not playing Aqual

Excellent music exists today. This narrative of “it was better in my day” is so painfully dull and cliched.
