Studio: - It's All Over Now - Tell Me (long version with guitar solo), the best examples of the powerful and unique sound of the debut. - Satisfaction for its roughness - Jumping Jack Flash, so energetic, a perfection - Sympathy For The Devil - Gimme Shelter, for its hypnotic intro Live: - Gimme Shelter in Philadelphia 1972, for Mick Taylor's sensational input. - The whole

Yep but Dandelion himself has a guess... He might be in the know. Let's consider the guess : 1-Mick Taylor will play on more songs. 2- On only one more song 3- On Silver Train Honestly, I would prefer to hear a renewed version of Midnight Rambler, instead of an added "not that good" song like Silver Train. For instance with some licks inspired by Get Yer Ya Ya's

Quotebv I was hoping for may be two or even three songs with Mick Taylor, but they did only fit him in for one song at the Staples opening show. This is the "WE WANT MORE MICK TAYLOR" on stage thread ... but please do NOT misunderstand, nothing wrong with Ronnie! We have Mick Taylor on Midnight Rambler, and now also on Satisfaction, but we are greedy, we want another Staples-2 with

Mick Taylor on (even a few) more songs is just as topical as ever.

QuoteValeswood QuoteMarkSchneider QuoteCristiano Radtke Who is in charge of the wah-wah effect ? Does anyone know? Check out the rather static Ronnie, particularly his right foot. Oops, I was blind. So obvious, especially when enlarged in 1080p. Thanks a lot. By the way, this Out of Control sounds good.

If Mick Taylor played on a few more songs... that would be beyond "great setlists".

Satanic Majesties' Request is distinctly underrated. Citadel, The Lantern and 2000 Light Years From Home...WOW

Quote71Tele QuoteRobertJohnson Actually there is only one really bad and horrible album in Stones history: Their Satanic Majesties Request And if I have to mention a second one, I would vote for Between the Buttons The Stones as Psychedelic- or Pop-Band didn't work ever. The Stones were a great pop band, and any album that contains "She's A Rainbow", "Citad

Listen carefully to this cathedral sound that makes Stockholm rendition so unique (eg 1'55...2'10"...4'20"... 5'30"...6'10"...7'10"... 8'20"... 8'55"... 9'55"... the whole video actually!). I have goose bumps...

Rolling Stones = Keith Richards + Mick Jagger (vital, necessary and sufficient conditions) Of first importance = Charlie Watts, Ron Woods and Mick Taylor Highly recommended = Bill Wyman Without Keith, no Rolling Stones IMO But Mick Taylor's rallying should be seriously considered for all sorts of reasons.

Edited : "we're endlessly speculating on something we have absolutely no clue on" .Exactly treaclefingers, our posts crossed each other : Final bow or not, respect or not, Taylorites vs Woodites, reasoning, inducting, deducting, calculating, reckoning, getting frustrated, bitter... big waste of energy. My last word is : Let's have Mick Taylor on more songs Having Sym

QuoteStoneburst QuoteDandelionPowderman The acoustic guitar's function in music is very underrated on this board Maybe so, but having Taylor play one on Satisfaction is just a calculated insult. At least an unintentional tactlessness. Having him on board on Satisfaction, ready for the final bow, was a great idea though.

QuoteDoomandGloom QuoteChacal QuoteDoomandGloom When MJ asked me to do something I did it without question, always. He has earned that respect and loyalty by producing the greatest rock music. I love Taylor but I don't think he shows that respect and that's maybe the issue. Unless you were once a member of the Rolling Stones, the two situations can just not be compared at all. Are y

QuoteLookoutMountain You all put it very well, as did Kleermaker and so many others, even critics -- it's OBVIOUS, LOGICAL to any Stones fan of the golden Taylor years (whether they know him by name or not) -- and the Stones themselves are not idiots about this, or about what he brings to the band now, plus how can their managers, crew and inner circle etc not be wondering and discussing the

QuoteSister Marie QuoteDiamondDog7 I think some of us expected that MT would be used the right way on the RIGHT songs during this tour. We've accepted him as a special guest. Fine by us. But we as REAL Stones-fans know that MT played a crucial role on Sway, CYHMK, TWFNO, Ventilator Blues etc etc. NOT on acoustic guitar on Satisfaction. I think it bothers us the most... MT not playing the rig

Chuck Leavell's factor (Chuck Leavell's as a musical manager) By Patrick Doyle November 26, 2012 To prepare for the Stones' blistering 23-song set in London, Leavell acted as musical director during the Paris rehearsals, sifting through their rich 400-plus song catalog while fielding suggestions from Jagger and the rest of the band. "I can't remember the la
