QuoteRisingStone I’m considering going to All Points East where Nick & the Bad Seeds are to headline on the second week Saturday (August 28). APE is relatively new (the first year 2018), one of my favorite music festivals and the lineup is always superb (alternative/indie-oriented), but being a festive appearance, I doubt this would be a full-blown set like other European arena shows of the t

QuoteThe Worst. He is the best performer for those in the front. Absolutely mindblowing and electric. There is a major difference between him and Jagger. Nick Cave will give everything for the few at the very front and not care about the rest of the stadium/arena. If you are seated away from the stage, you will watch how Nick Cave interacts with the fans at the front. Mick Jagger, however, will t

I heard a tape of the Bad Seeds Koln concert a week ago. Amazing! Very different from the tour with Warren. 2.5 hours of Nick exorcising demons & healing people.

My mom was born in Ottawa & moved to Seattle when she was a toddler. Today is the 30th anniversary of her passing, so it's a melancholy day for me. She was only 53 when she died. Enough of that, have a good holiday wherever you are!

Quote24FPS QuoteChester I still say the 1968 Comeback Special was one of the greatest performances of all-time. Maybe the greatest. Also, no human being - male or female - ever looked better than he did at that moment in time. I just wish I could remix that damn special. Some guy is banging a tambourine way too loud. Pot that thing down. More cowbell!!!!!!

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteElmo Lewis I hear DL is doing great on this tour, while MC is really awful. Def Leppard is the only act of these oldies that has new material from a new album and they're playing it! Def Leppard are pros while seemingly Motley Crue are on a cash grab. Motley really need the big spectacle to cover for Vince Neil's vocals. Here in Seattle tickets were $125 (+s

Quotebye bye johnny Roger is still pretty spry! He's surly enough where his age isn't going to affect him. Killer band. It's too bad Lucius have moved on but understandable as they have their own records they want to promote.

QuoteTheGreek QuoteRollingFreak Its funny even just on the level of Motley Crue and Def Leppard being a stadium draw in 2020. I like and enjoy both of those bands, but I can't imagine how you drum up even an ounce of interest in that. The concert business is such a hilarious struggle these days, I'm happy to sit back with popcorn and watch it all go down. Same here I'm

QuoteRollingFreak Def Leppard are surprisingly still pretty big. They usually headline the tours they do, and even as a fan, I'm truly surprised they have as big a following as they still do. Hysteria & Pyromania were huge records in terms of sales. Especially Hysteria. I think they had about 6 hit singles/songs on that record. Mutt Lange had the magic touch for quite awhile.

In the past, the band was escaping the venue whilst the fireworks were going off. Beat the traffic, haha.

Kind of surprised that Def Leppard played last. I wonder if they will switch on different shows, maybe when Tommy Lee is healed up. I didn't read anything about a drum stunt on this show. Would be hard to top the one on the farewell tour though. I saw the last show outside of LA in Vegas. The band was great, Vince Neil not so much. I also saw the Crue open 2 shows for the Stones on Bigger Ba

QuoteDGA35 Congrats to Vancouver and Toronto for being chosen as two of the host cities for the 2026 World Cup to be held in Canada, US and Mexico! Good representation on the US west coast with Seattle, San Fran and LA also hosting! I'm sure the final will be in either New York or LA. Hopefully Team Canada will play a game or two in Van or Toronto! One condition is that all stadiums must

Quote24FPS I'd like to go, but concerts are getting out of my price range. It's $120 for the cheap seats at the Pantages in Hollywood. It's only $44 to see Steve Martin and Martin Short at the Hollywood Bowl. I was a little disappointed in the Dylan show I saw (+ I think that show is when I caught COVID, just getting back on my feet now). It was ok. I'd say it was a middling

QuoteHairball Brings back bad memories of all the contrived '80's wannabe poser bands... This reminds me of a good story. A bit later but it works. A friend who lived in NYC liked the first Bush cd. Then he went to see them at a showcase @ CBGBs. They were so bad that my friend went home to his apartment, got the cd & took it out & just left it on the sidewalk, haha
