I'm booked in the Extended Stay Meadowlands, East Rutherford. As the crow flies , its close, but google a walk and it says two hours ? Does anyone know, is there a hotel that you can walk to and from the stadium with ease?

There were no pits on the Zip Code tour, assigned seating all the way to the front row. It was hard to adjust after all the pits in the arena shows of 14 on Fire.

Well they "won't " get taxed is a broad statement. North Korea, Eritrea, and the USA, are the only 3 nations in the world that require all citizens and legal permanent residents to file for income taxes no matter where you are living or where the money is earned. They also claim and assert the legal right to know if you have over $10000 squirrled away in any checking, savings, reti

The best part of about this news is , of course, that Mick is well and ready to tour. I will also point out that myself and other people from the medical field tried to point out this most probable outcome to all the people hanging black crepe for weeks. Its taken a long time for Western Medicine to begin to meld spirit and body, but I don't think there are many in my field out there that

Foxie talked to Barnard, I was there. We both caught up with him at a sound check for the touring group, A Bowie Celebration. Richard was circumspect in not naming names, but it seems that secret is out. Nonetheless, I confirm only because Richard does not BS, he does not have to, he's straightforward. And as he freely admits, though Barnard did say he'd see us in Chicago, he did not sa

Mu first Stones show was 26 July, 1975. Mick was performing on his birthday in Bloomington , Indiana. The first tour with Ronnie, and I don.t remember any debate at the time of Taylor VS Wood, we were going to the Stones. I went with a group of friends that used any event as a polypharmaceutical chemistry lab. I barely remember going to a bathroom before the show. Since then I have often joked th

Get well Mick, simply stated Bjornulf and thank you. Everyone is talking money, pressure from promoters, and I think they are leaving out a very important factor. Over the last 18 months I have had some health set backs. People were kind, caring, but I remember one night a friend offering to do some menial task while visiting and I finally had to say , " I'm not an invalid."

Somewhere is the idea I was just another face in the crowd and this woman was good with names, but she remembered mine. Shelly was a legend to me before I met her. I could go on and on about my encounters and my feelings , but I'm not sure a public forum is the best for this. Besides at some point it becomes more about me then, and it should definitely be about her She always treated me well

Oh Donvis, I am a physician also and learned way back in the scare of Charlie's throat cancer not to give opinions here. Privately with members I have discussed TAVR VS open heart surgery, prognosis, etc, but don't do it here. No matter how much I tried to assure people, I was a dumbass to ever want to be MD that could google and had Charlie dead. When Keith fell out of the tree, I trie

Ok troops , isn't it really all a given other than planning the pre and post show parties? I debated, waffled, asked myself why, and in the end it came down to all of you guys as much as the Stones. Time to grease the wheels on the carts and get this gypsy caravan rolling again. Jillian, you have no reason to not be at Santa Clara, Beast we're doing the last. Bjornolf and Ben t

Marianne has always been one of my favourites. Surely she stays true to herself though and is not worried about mass appeal. Thanks to this, she has had moments of true brilliance. This release has been on my car CD player a lot lately. I have to say that each song individually is beautiful and gripping, listening to the release from beginning to end is difficult. The melancholy is relentless. It

Caught the show in London with Beast and have to say the visual impressions he achieves with such minimalism on stage is unique. This is very much a show and not just a concert. What you miss in spontaneity is made up for with polish and choreography. So even though I loved it, and I'm going again in about 4 weeks to the Auckland show, I'm hard pressed to see this solely as a rock and r

I have been friends with Paul for over a decade . I’m in Eastern Europe right now with him . While he can be a cantankerous curmudgeon at times , lol and I say that with fondness , he is the last person to call a thief or scammer . Paul has no need to stoop to anything like that and knowing what he’s tried to do to make this work for you , well you should just shamefully crawl back under whateve

" ...and Cleveland. It was the highlight of an otherwise dreary day. Rain, bad acid, angry bikers and arguably the worst set the Stones ever delivered in their established career. Peter was not well received by the crowd nor was KANSAS (FFS) or the tight-rope act." I am always happy when others talk about this show in Cleveland exactly as I do. I don't know why, but there is a

I signed on to this site 13 years ago and have 1259 posts, most I would guess posted before the 50th anniversary shows. I still read the site every day, so I consider myself a regular. Breaking news that you can trust will be found here first and even gossip that is credible shows up no where else first. But after a thousand posts its hard to get involved in another Woods VS Taylor argument. Its

I'm travelling from Auckland NZ for Zurich, Lucca, Barcelona and hopefully Amsterdam. I'm used to it having lived out on various islands in the Pacific for years. I once travelled from an Island called Tinian to London just to see Ronnie's two shows with Stomp. Its great to see the guys play and hang around with all the other crazy people that do the tours regularly.

Well without resorting to Viagogo and the like , Beast and I Scored reserved Tribune seating after Pit Tickets immediately disappears . My stupidity , in a rush I somehow thought the cost reflected the quality of the seat . Now try as each of us may , we can't figure out what kind of view we are going to have , and some sights have an upper and lower tribune , the upper dubbed "superio

One of the most amazing things about this thread is every time I read the new posts, I am reminded of artists I have seen and forgotten about. I guess that's a great screening process, if you don't remember going to the concert until somebody else brings up the artist name, once is probably more than enough.

I often return to my Van Morrison CDS, saw him once, with Beast by the way. Neither of us I think would need to see a second show. Lou Reed is another artist that I may listen to hours at a time, saw him twice, once in Detroit in the 80's was almost painfully boring. Dylan's recorded work is dear to me I have given him multiple shots, and after the last in NZ a few years ago, nev

I saw Mr. Rickles while in Vegas for the Stones show last year. Frail , but still sharp witted, he had us all laughing. The lady next to me commented, " I've already seen him twice, just felt like this was my last chance." Sadly prophetic. I have laughed at this mans work since a child.

Well NZ was picked as # 3 in the same study and I feel really lucky to have ended up here after wondering for so long. Politics here is much like BV describes politics in Norway. There is no name calling, shouting , everyone just seems to get along. It really does make a difference.

For years I have argued that we have no right to ever concern ourselves about the Stones Legacy. It is, after all , their, not our legacy. If they want to go out with stadium shows and oldies for as long as it will last , they are doing what they want, and its their future , not ours. With this mini tour there are two festivals, two arenas, three rumoured private shows. There have been in the

Key-rikey I have too much time on my hands.I have a collection of pics in an album called "Where's Waldo, Stones Style." and in it are numerous pics of my friends and myself in audience shots over the years. I know I'm not the only one, a buddy of mine here has shots that go back to old time photos, so old I'm slim in them. There is a 4 flicks DVD with my sister dancing..

The first US presidential trip to Cuba in nearly 90 years is now official. Obama will meet with Cuban President Raul Castro, entrepreneurs, and "Cubans from different walks of life" during the trip on March 21 and 22, the White House said. Now call me jaded, but I do not see Obama heading to the concert, and I am not sure how stretched the security infrastructure of Havana would be to p
