I played a regular weekly gig at that bar for a couple of years after the video was shot. I had no idea they used so much of the interior in the video as it was not so easy to just pull up a video in those days. For me it is nostalgic as the place is long gone. The owner was a crook BTW. We were promised a bonus if the drawer went over a certain amount. Once we asked him to check and found ourse

It goes back to the recordings. For example on Sympathy he used a Les Paul Custom so Keith choses a lighter Les Paul now. I can't recall many songs Keith solos on using a Tele.no matter the tuning although there's plenty of "weaving". At this stage of the game the guy needs to be on autopilot, no disrespect but his job isn't easy for a man like him or any man his age. The

Make a living?? He just finished the highest grossing tour of 2021. He had to make a million or two himself.

Unbelievable. On a list stacked with 2nd rate performamers and reality stars. 224 bucks he'll dance in a tu tu.

Back in my day Keith had guitar practice time set aside in the afternoon so the notion that he didn't put in serious guitar time is wrong. I am sure he still played between gigs these days and believe when he plays Sympathy he knows better and can play better. Probably started out as a joke and became a thing..

Seems as if when Keith plays Sympathy he just doesn't give a damn about playing it with any reverence to the song or the audience. Wherever his fingers fall that's the note. I usually stick up for these guys but it's impossible to do that when a musician so blatantly disregards the music and fan's ears. Makes me wonder if our hero is secretly an idiot..

I am surprised at how different they sound with SJ. I had assumed he'd play the songs in the style of the records. I don't know what this is, sounds like a nervous guy imitating a drum machine. No dynamics, just kick, snare, kick, snare, kick, snare, fill.. He'll get better but Jordan is not a great drummer, I worked on sessions with him for years, TV star, nice fun guy but there&#

I believe touring now is more of a emotional burden than the band and us fans should endure. It's just too sad..

QuoteGasLightStreet It's 2021. Stupidity reigns. So much fake drama, fake news, regarding Charlie's decision to have Steve Jordan fill in. The &*$^ ANYONE thinks he would retire having said what he said? Goddamn a lot of y'all suck. Fake Stones fans. FAKE STONES FANS. FAKE STONES FANS. Fake Stones Fans for fake Stones

They always promised they'd continue until one of the 4 dropped out but here they are going against that. I know about the logistics and cancelling this tour would probably end the band for good but it's not right. I won't travel through 3 States to support this money grab in the midst of a pandemic. Get well Charlie. Love you all at IORR.

That was exhausting getting to this point. Jeeze I thought everyone knew it was a white SG Custom. Kids these days.

Historic show. First hour was the grittiest I have ever seen. Sounded like 70's Stones. BYMMR just about exhausted Keith. He laid out of his Miss You solo and staggered through the intro of MR. Still the first half was the best I've seen him in a long time. Mick is an inspiration. It got very humid but Charlie and Woody pushed hard in the end to stay on track. I feel like I witne

Judging from the setlist these guys are leaving nothing in the tank. Pretty much the best list of songs I could imagine at this point. Can't wait for the videos but this looks to be an amazing tour..

New report has Mick just arriving in France. Hope he gets some good rest and feels inspired soon to make some music. I see this as another setback for those who think an American tour is on the horizon.

I know many people that have gone through similar circumstances. They all seem to have recovered well but none of them were 100% within a few months. The volume and mayhem of a Stones show would be disorienting for even the most skilled performer. I think you folks are shortchanging what an intense job it is to front this show. With the stress of what has happened, including whatever unknown i

Guitar strap will probably irritate his scars and goes right over the heart. As far as tickets, they'll hold everyone's cash indefinitely. The sale itself was over six months ago. I planned on purchasing a week or two before. Rather pay a little more than lend The Stones a grand for half a year. Great as they are when it comes to money they're savages. Personally I believe this i

Mick should take at least 6 months before returning. His is a grueling job even just a dozen dates. I am a fan and love him.

Great observation. From my personal experience The Stones filled analog tape with every possible idea or permutation of an idea. I can only imagine what they would do in today's recording world of unlimited tracking. Still Blue and Lonesome was the exact opposite of all that so there's hope. You guys know they are geniuses and are never far from a miracle

The videos coming from this tour show an amazing transformation. No longer a joke or a freakshow this band has really upped it a level. Astounding performances, almost every one I view. In other words, Keith is really back, I never thought he'd get his command but he's once again a force on stage, no longer just playing along and hanging on for life. He deserves all the credit in the

QuoteTestify In my opinion there is a misunderstanding about Charlie, if someone thinks the songs are slower because of him he is wrong. The time of a song is decided by the band, going faster can be a problem for a guitarist, indeed I am almost certain that the reason why some songs are slower is certainly not Charlie. No question... Every musician knows that it's easier for a drummer to p

Setlist aside they sound great. Mistakes and all they are jamming and playing with an edge. Keith and Ronnie sound good to me, bass is nice and loud, keys are lower in my mixes. Back to the setlist, this is a big job they undertake, they need order and to be deep in a comfort zone. A concert is not for YOUTUBE but for the people there for likely a rare experience. This is hard to do on this l
