My wife passed away last Sunday after a 9-hour surgery due to constricted blood vessels. I don't want anyone around me right now, and I am intensely enjoying the album Hackney Diamonds. The album exudes emotion and energy. It soothes my grief.

Quotestonesurvive ............I confess, I only listened to HD about 5x since the first day of release, but today it hit me!...........this is a great album!!!, and IMO, there are a couple of tracks that could be "snuck" onto a couple of older albums and fit right in!. Is that a bad thing.....no, that's the Stones sound!. Keep in mind, the boys have charted in every decade, but

As a 76 year old I am talking for myself, I cannot decide for another what is the best album. For me this album Hackney Diamonds is a completely good album, I like all the songs. It's just a miracle that this album comes out with their 80 year old ages in 2023. It's a dream that I can still experience this. 51 years ago I was talking with friends about the then newly released album Exi

Sorry to start talking about the Hackney Diamonds album instead of old albums that have been written about for hundreds of pages. But I understood that with their next album there might be more of Charlie, It would be nice if Bill joins in again then. As for Hackney Diamonds, I still like all the songs.

QuoteBarkerboy2 QuoteIdorh Isn't it great that these 80-year-old men are still releasing such a brilliant new studio album Hackney Diamonds in 2023. And that there are 9 new songs ready on the shelf. I wonder if that will also be a complete new album or if they will release them as singles over the years. I think it would be a silly move to release them as singles, given the success of Hac

QuoteGerardHennessy QuoteIdorh I still enjoy HD daily. Nice and simple and spontaneous and full of energy. Incredible that I can still experience this new material now at 76. In 1973 I asked in a disco for a Stones song. They started laughing, and said these are old men, and their music is out of date. And then 50 years later on their 80th birthday, this record comes out. It's like a dream.

As a Dutchman who is bad at English, I am not going to watch everything back. Is it known yet which regular musicians besides Keith/Ron/Mick will join us for live performances. Such as pianists /background singers/Bass guitar etc/.

QuoteVirgin Priest I´ll try to describe a phenomenon. Ok, I like Hackney Diamonds a lot. A bunch of very good songs. SSOH is stellar; LBTS is special. HD is a great album. But my favorites will always be SF and TY. A few weeks ago, I wrote here: HD is full of earworms! It´s true; since the album came out, parts of the songs or even snippets have been ringing in my mind. So far my expla

QuoteDoxa Funnily, this track reminds me of early Jagger/Richards originals from the 60's, the rocking tunes they crafted from the base of the band grooving a three-chords rhythm and blues number but adding there a bit of poppish, melodic flavor. You know, the stuff they did, say, 1963-67. Especially the part "I'm gonna treat you right, etc." is based on such a 60's style

Everyone has their own taste. And great songs have been made and released by the Stones over the past 60 years. I am a fan from the very first hour, and in every album there are always 2 or 3 songs that are not really appealing. With this album is the first time for me that I like all the songs. That's the opinion for myself. But this album is fresh and full of energy. They can 100% compete

I wonder if the Stones have any new material with Charlie Watts. It would be nice to do some songs with Bill together while we still can, just like with Love by the sword.

Unfortunately, I cannot find the article again. But Mick said he was with Steve and that Mick played piano and guitar and spent hours with Steve to get that typical Stones beat on the drums. Let's face it on the WINOs with Keith, Steve's drum beat was pretty monotonous, almost every song the same. I have to admit that on HD Steve drums great.

It still doesn't bore me to play the album Hackney Diamonds over and over again. You can't force it to be good or bad. It's just the feeling. I still can't believe an album like this has come out now in 2023. In 1973, friends in a discotheek said to me, the Stones are old, time for younger bands and new music. And look is what these 80-year-olds managed to do. It continues to

I really have to agree with Doxa on this, it's a band a regular group The Rolling Stones. And it is true that Keith has said many a time the magic is there when he and Mick are on the same page and both feel like it. It doesn't matter if one plays more guitar or whatever. They worked very hard and joyfully as a complete group on this album HD. I find it a bit scary this hysterical love
