QuoteBastion Another Andrew Watt album with perfectly timed verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge “songs”. I couldn’t finish it, just made me incredibly sad. Andrew Watt took a song written before he was born and that wasn't good enough for Dirty Work, and made it one of the highlights.

This song must be recorded at a frequency that goes directly into my soul. That hook is just delicious.

Quotematxil The only song that hasn't really worked for me (yet) is Back In Your Life. The sort of ballad that later-day Aerosmith did better (Tell Me What It Takes, for example). I'm trying to be critical of the album. It's a challenge and only the ballads are my targets now, simply because I don't naturally gravitate toward ballads. I agree with you for the first minute or

The album is truly terrific. It stands up to repeated listens very well. For me, it's their best since Voodoo Lounge. As fans, we're incredibly lucky to have an album of such high quality this late in their career.

Quotetreaclefingers Well as my vinyl won't be arriving for awhile, I knuckled under and downloaded it with the extra track. LOVE IT, so far. Just on Divine Intervention. I guess most of the first tracks have been released already, so I'm about to enter new territory with Ringing Hollow. Exciting times. The bonus track is worth the cost. Enjoy.

Divine Intervention is an amazing song. The whole album is wild. I'm trying to find spots to be critical, and even in my few least favorite tracks, I still find a lot to like. And the songs I love sound like magic.

All right, I'll call it. This one is a classic for me. 10/10. The energy hits my button. Every time I hear it, it gives me a charge like I only get from my most favorite Stones songs.

The Boys of Dungeon Lane is a 5/10 for me. I like half the tracks. As You Lie There, First Star Of The Night, Come Inside, and Never Know are all great and top tier McCartney in my estimation. I also like Life Can Be Hard, Salesman Saint, and Down South, but all to a lesser degree. The rest I can skip, but I hope I can go back to them someday and find some more tracks I enjoy. A lot of the songs

I just got the iTunes version and listened to Bad Luck Hideaway twice in a row. It's another winner. I'm about to listen to the whole album again. Right now I'm struggling to find things I don't like. I'm pleasantly surprised to find out there are so many uptempo songs that sound so fresh and original. It's tremendously entertaining for me so far

On first listen, I thought this was a standout track. I liked it very much. I'm happy that there are so many uptempo songs on the album. It's a very pleasant surprise.

To be belittled by Rolling Stones fans on a Rolling Stones forum for being excited over the release of some new Rolling Stones music. Just a wonderful thing.

While I agree with you civility should be expected I'm sure you and I tangled in the past on something - can't remember what it was - and I hope you didn't take that too seriously. For the re

I should have known there's nobody left on this goddamn forum that's nice. There's a teaser for a new Stones album online, I (a Rolling Stones fan) got excited and say an innocuous three word statement in my five word post that didn't single out anybody else on this forum. And two jerks have to give me hell over it. Why? What did I do? Got excited over the teaser? Oh no that r

QuoteARB Anyone think they'll have a second song with Macca? I remember reading when HD came out that they had a second one AND Macca visited Henson studios when the Stones were rehearsing for the HD tour. Anyone have insight (or want to waste a few pages speculating)? I'm sticking with my prediction of a song with McCartney and a duet with Dua Lipa. Her Instagram had a picture of st

I too am impressed by Steven Tyler at the show. I thought he was permanently retired, but he looks and sounds great. Very pleasantly surprised to see him performing at all much less so well. Hey Andrew Watt... maybe you can help the boys in Aerosmith out?
