Monophonics - Rockpalast Live Stunning in places - I wouldn't mind seeing them (or at least imagining) as the opener for the Stones.

Quotetreaclefingers Quotetomekdp 7. When You Want to Appreciate Pure Genius: None of the Stones records, not this category... Really? Not even like Let it Bleed? I do think that LIB and Sticky could vie for that. Well... let me stick to my opinion I never considered Stones in category of genius - and if so, "pure genius" expression suits better to other kinds of music. Bu

It may be the German band called The Lords who started back in 1959 and are still around, with a 5 year break between 1971 and 1976 (I saw them in 2018 supporting Rainbow) Golden Earring may be a good example too, Hungarian Omega started in 1962, I wonder what's going to happen with them now that two key members are gone.

Not a big fan of Satch myself too, but I appreciate his contribution to Deep Purple during their transition period in 1993/94. Also his penultimate LP "What Happens Next" is definitely worth checking - less guitar wizardry, more real playing. His stint with Jagger definitely was a good career move, but all in all, it was only several live shows without really creative input from his si

6 times: - 1990 Prague (with Bill, a classic) - 1995 Prague (probably the best of the pack) - 1998 Chorzów (also a killer one) - 2003 Prague - 2007 Warsaw - 2018 Prague

QuoteDeltics You do realise that most people reading this will assume it refers to Richie Blackmore's band as opposed to a children's television programme that last aired in 1992? Luckily enough, in RB's Rainbow there wasn't any Geoffrey in any line up, so no worries here. Still - looking at the title of the thread I was wondering what the author was up to

QuoteRedhotcarpet The first photo of the Stones I've ever seen (being barely 9, I remember ) - together with the short info on the band. However it took some time before I finally got to hear any music (in communist Poland it wasn't that easy or obvious - like everything else).

Quotedaspyknows Just be creative. I am bringing my recording gear to Prague and confident I will get it in. OK - I'll take my chances If everything goes well, I'll try to share my pics here. FOS tickets, so I hope my Sony Cybershot will do the job.

Possibly a similar thread already appeared with reference to this part of the tour, but now that almost the whole leg is completed, I'd like to ask what were your exepriences with getting cameras into the venue? Me I'm going to see the Prague show and today got a message that - obviously - no cameras will be allowed (along with the plastic bottles, umbrellas etc.). Now - what was it lik

Two legends from Eastern Europe: Skaldowie (Poland, started in 1965) and Omega (Hungary, started in 1962), still going strong and still in their classic line-ups. BTW - has anybody mentioned Focus (1969, with Thijs van Leer still at the helm)?

I'd love it to happen but where do these rumours come from? People who work for the band??? I live in Poland and have not heard or read a single rumour anywhere. Neither have I.
