QuoteHairball Discovered this fairly recently, but if you click on your username (or anyone else's) there's a link to 'Show all posts'. The posts are listed in the order they were made - from most recent to your very first. Kind of interesting to see posts from 11 years ago. Maybe if they were catalogued by month and year it could be easier to zero in on a particular peri

Some more suggestions: I found the icons/buttons at the top of the page to be confusing. I understood at once that the "house" means "homepage / start page". But the other three seem quite mysterious to me. I know, the url shows at the bottom of the page, when I move the cursor over an icon, but that's not not very telling or noticeable. I was surprised, when I, being

QuoteNICOS QuoteBoognish How about making the signatures a different font or colour to make the posts a little less confusing? Or maybe make it so they're automatically italic? For me it's strange, that most fans of the album here seem to adore "Heartstopper" so much. I really enjoy almost every song on Crosseyed Heart, but "Heartstopper" I mostly skip. I partly like it (the ending for example with the background singers and the piano bits), but I cringe at the chorus. "Amnesia" is probably my favorite of the Keith rockers, "Subst

Also voted for Whip. They've already played great versions of Streetfighting Man and Rocks off. I don't like, how Mick sings the chorus of Get off of my cloud these days, so didn't vote for that one. A smoking version of When the whip comes down, please!

I'm not sure, where I read or heard it. But I'm pretty sure, that Ronnie said, when being asked about hearing loss, that he has some problems with high frequences. I believe it was a question on his Twitter.

Quotedead.flowers QuoteStrawberriesBlueberries I'm in the mood of being a bit cryptic right now, just for fun. Sorry, if I'm wrong, but your question and the particular main genres you wanted to debate reminded me of a certain discussion on another website I recently stumbled across. I thought you might be the same poster and wanted to do some encyclopedic research here. If it doesn

Quotedead.flowers QuoteStrawberriesBlueberries I'm really absolutely no expert with how to define musical genres, so all I can say is based on some kind of 'feeling'. Gospel seems weird to me, as well as Reggae. Country appears to be more of a genre they fully stepped into several times, so maybe yes. Rock, yes, Pop, yes, Rhythm and Blues, yes. From the interview: When I came off stage and went to join my wife and daughters in the pit, the bass player started doing Miss You! He’s playing all my parts — and not as well as I thought he should. He’s playing the octaves as single notes. And then Mick starts saying what a great bass player he is, right in front of me. ‘Look at Darryl, isn’t he fantastic?’ goes Mick.” This sounds like a w

Bitch: I much like Keith's playing here. Best Bitch since they started touring again in 2012. His solo on Sympathy is not his best, but also not his worst, I think. And I like what he plays near the end of the song, where he get's quite creative (starting at 6:11 in this video from above: ).

I'm watching the videos on Youtube right now and wonder what happened on Paint It Black with Keith or with his guitar. He left the stage for about 50 seconds near the end, talked to somebody backstage (his guitar guy?) and left quickly with him. The guy took the guitar and grabbed a suitcase. Did Keith break a string? Could somebody there see, what happened?

QuoteIrelandCalling4 SOL was mauled on release here, many hated it with such a passion; it does sound a bit like a latter day Aerosmith ballad, or one of those post-2000 disturbing Bon Jovi ballads. However, it has grown over time, the live performances I think really gave it a new lease of life and fans went back to listen to it again. What saves it is the chorus hook, "I..I..I...I... wal

QuoteDoxa Quotepalerider22 Looks like Taylor will be included...no way he'd be playing on stage with Ronnie yesterday if he wasn't. See photo in 'Roundhouse' thread. Great!! The interest level just escalated for many fans... I don't think we can conclude anything from the base of his appearance. It could be very well the opposite: Ronnie - being a friend of his and a tr

Keith played well on Sympathy once more: He doesn't try the high notes during his solo (as he mostly didn't recently), but I like, what he plays. So nice to see, his Sympathy was in general good during the Australian leg! It seems he finally found his way with it. Maybe some day he will feel comfortable with the high notes part, too.

Yes, he looks wrinkly, but his charisma is youthful. Somehow he appears more open, relaxed, happier and 'warmer' in this interview than sometimes in others. I liked that. And you know what: If the man smiles broadly or laughs, like he does for example after this little "Action!" joke before the interview, then he appears like a boy again! Mick looks absolutely charming, whe

QuoteRoll73 Does that mean they might do 'From the Vault' releases for the other shows in Archive? I actually wanted to buy Leeds '82 which, at this point, seems to only be available in the Archive store. I suppose that could be their plan. Two albums from the bootleg series out of six have already been released in "From the Vault"...

Maybe Google Play had a contract for the bootleg series, that now has expired with the beginning of "From the Vault". But it's strange, if then people from certain countries can't buy them in the Archive (or anywhere else) as a download, while the rest of the world still can.

They aren't on Google Play anymore. At least I can't find them. I noticed that recently, when I wondered out of interest, if now, after the first two volumes of the "From the Vault" series have been released, these two albums are still there to buy on Google Play. @Roll73, did you try to buy them in the Rolling Stones Archive? Maybe they are available for you in the UK now,

Quoterebelrebel Frankly I'm too zonked by lack of sleep to write much at this point but it was certainly a great Stones show. I managed to get fourth or fifth row in the pit, centre in front of Jagger, despite not having VIP entry and not pushing in either. Met some great people in the queue and all in all the wait for them to come on went really quickly. Felt a bit nervous for Mick's v
