Hello RobberBride, (Before asking him my question, I will state to the rest of you that the book is a quite wondrous and magnificent item which will without doubt enhance your Stoneslife.) I read the question about whether the current owners of the house will receive a copy, and your answer. How about whether a certain FORMER resident and his singing chum will get to read about the hou

Quotejbwelda He used the double quote (") instead of the single (') because of course the one with the most marks is the larger one, eg: foot vs inch. That chick looks like Ron Wood on a bad makeup day. Or at least it makes me think some of the faces on the Some Girls sleeve that are attributed to Wood might actually be Angelica Houston. jb I cannot stop laughing at this!

I wouldn't be too mad about it, having read it (but it does depend on how much you already know).

Some of it is great. Some of it is unmitigated cheese. His Brill Building singer songwriter period resulted in some ace songs, found here (the first 10, in particular, I love): I also like some of this: There are some other great songs here and there, but if I never hear Sweet Caroline again, it'll be too soon. I went to see this tonight in London. It was quite magnificent. The orchestra adds a huge and welcome element to the sound, and the mix, even in a stadium, was sympathetic to all the different sonic aspects. And everyone played superbly. If you can go to see this show - do it!

Sorry, am I missing something here? People glad-handing Mick and Keith for doing the right thing? I love the Stones as much as any of you but if it meant that much to them to see justice done they could have done it at any point over the last TWO DECADES. I'll tell you what, if Mick felt he was being denied millions of pounds due to him he'd have been on the phone before breakfast. Typi

As a born and bred Londoner of Irish descent, I could hold forth at length on much both good and ill which has eminated from this small country. I shall limit myself to recommending highly the works of both Charles Dickens and The Stone Roses. Declan

I went to university in Southampton during the 90s and loved it. I used to work in the Platform's sister venue, The Brook, which was a brilliant (fairly small) venue in Portswood. My burgeoning love for The Stones only increased in those years and I will love seeing them in the city. Declan

I could not begin to estimate the influence and effect it had on me from 16 to about 20. Essential in my life at that time. The choices I made under its influence stay with me to this day and will always. Declan

QuoteGazza QuoteDD Hello. With apologies to anyone who's already raised this point; presuming those dates on the tour page are even vaguely close to the truth, am I the only one questioning how they're deciding to tour again during the football World Cup (when both England and the Republic of Ireland have qualified)? This has bitten them in the arse before. Or perhaps it's simply,

I loved Oasis in '94, and have been pretty much thoroughly bored by them and anything to do with them ever since. Good luck to Liam, he clearly still means it, and Noel, who's a funny chap, but wake me up when it's all over. Declan

Hello. A couple of mentions above of the From Elvis in Memphis album. Well, anyone who hasn't heard the opening track, Wearin' That Loved On Look, really should find it and listen. Might be the funkiest thing the man ever recorded, and perhaps his most under-rated song as hardly anyone knows it. Find it and dig the fohnk. Declan

I was at that Wembley gig in 2000 and Liam's behaviour was unacceptable. People can say what they like about his being the last of the great rock stars but if a stadium full of people have paid hard-earned money to see you then you don't turn up pissed, unable to perform properly, and abuse your brother throughout the set. Half-wit behaviour. And he's supposed to be a working-class

Hello, I couldn't find a post related to this - I apolgise if you all already know. In June of this year a British MP, Jo Cox, was tragically murdered by a political extremist in horrific circumstances. The choice of You Can't Always Get What You Want as a charity single seems a trifle bizarre to me, but that's what they've recorded. More here: Declan
