My LEAST favourite Stones live dvd/album. I find the tone, including Mick’s “singing” (he scowls, not sings) just too one-key, flat and even awkward. There’s only a few tracks I can listen to. I doubt I’ll pick this up.

I consider myself a fan of music. I first heard David’s Heart of Gold in 1982 and loved it. Bought the Here Comes the Night album and adored it. Still do. But for some inexplicable reason, that was the end of my David Johansen fandom. And, never having followed him after that first album, I actually never realised/knew he was a member of the New York Dolls, a band I never got into! RIP David,

For the first time since 1966, I “bought” only one new album. 2024 was almost a total wash for me, apart from some box sets and reissues. Near on NOTHING released in 2024 as new music grabbed me at all. I tried with the Red Clay Strays, with Waxahatchee, with Henry Wagons. But nothing stuck enough for me to buy. Thank goodness for Jae Laffer’s (driving force behind Australia’s The Panics)
