This is Kenney Jones's polo club. Should be good if the weather's nice, but expect the audience will mainly be toffy nosed polo plonkers.

"Good ole Bob, that is a pretty packed schedule, just look at it.... HUGE PROPS to Bob for getting out there and doing it at age 70 (that is pretty bad ass)" There's an amazing number of 70 year old rockers out touring at the moment. A lot of them remain unchallenged by younger generations of musicians. Some (Glen Campbell at least) even go out performing with alzheimers - wh

Changing the subect slightly - bizarre the Stones opted to put 'Little Queenie' and 'Carol' on GYYYO - very similar sounding tracks. Just seems strange they'd rather put someone elses work out in preference to their own.

I don't understand why they changed the arrangement when they played it live. The intro is different, the guitar lick is different, the drums are different, the vocals in the verses are lost somehow - and it seems slower. Pity - great song on record.

Have the Stones ever performed this song live since Brian died ? It was a staple part of their live set back in the day.

QuoteEdith Grove Bill's bass patern here is phenominal and very clear in the mix. Also noticed Charlie is using his famous 3 on 1 off on the hihat lick, maybe it was aound this time he started this bizarre practice.

Think the dress Sheila E was wearing (barely), more impressive than her drumming - she's all arms and legs while playing and has her snare tuned up to sound like a biscuit tin.

I've searched the internet and the sale of Keith Richards Bentley doesn't come up anywhere. Given the cars celebrity status, it would be worth a fortune today (much, much more than the £40K asked for in 96) and very news worthy - so assume he still has it. But it surprises me why he would want to sell the beast in the first place - rust maybe ? And what happened to the Dino ?

Quotesealingwax It looks like it was put up for auction in 1996. That's remarkable - I'm amazed Keith would sell the car. And clearly it could mean that he did eventually sell it, which would account for the fact that it is still on the road today. Blimey - I would have put the wife and kids in for slavery if I'd know it was up for sale.

I was interested in knowing if KR still drives (uses) the 'Blue Lena'. Well, according to the UK DVLA records the car has a current road licence valid for 12 months. Impending trip to Tangier? I doubt it. Record is below ; The enquiry is complete The vehicle details for JLP 400D are: Date of Liability 01 05 2012 Date of First Registration 01 01 1966 Year of Ma

I like Mike Love - he wrote some great lyrics and his vasal voice is the one you hear on most of the hits. Sorry to say it's Brian who is the one who can't sing these days.

I went to see Charlie and the ABCD of Boogie with Axel Zwingenburger on Monday in Wimborne. An interesting evening, (but no surprises), Charlie and band clearly enjoying themselves busking away. Charlie was given every opportunity to take a drum break, a fill even just a cymbal smash would have been nice - but no way, not Charlie. Dave Green was taking solo's in nearly every song. I have

It's a pathetic story, I don't believe he was ever in the running for the job as Stones bassist - all a figment of an over fertile imagination. Charlie and Bill didn't come as a duo - rubbish, the bloke doesn't even get his facts right. No one can beat Pete Best's story though - now that was really tough shit.

Yet another alleged Rolling Stone crawls out fron the wood work. How many does that make I wonder ? Perhaps they should all get together and form 'The EX Rolling Stones', The Greatest Unheard of Rock and Roll band in the World".

It's hard to believe the man in the picture above holding a metal detector, played in the greatest rock and roll band in the world and alleges to have had sex with over 2000 women. No wonder he looks knackered.

Utter rubbish. The ghost notes beatween beats are a clear Charlie trade mark. Another musician who just happened to be in the studio (how convemient), wouldn't take over another musicians role because he was late, (I presume Charlie missed the bus did he?). He wouldn't know the song well enough to play it confidently and it wouldn't sound like the Rolling Stones. The only ex

It's strange that you end up watching Brian more than the other guys, is it because we want to know more about what he actually contributed to the band as a guitar player as well as visually ? Although Keith leads us to believe they were dual lead guitars, it seems here anyway, that Brian took more of a rhythm guitarist role. He took the stridant chords at the end of 'Its all over now
