QuoteHairball I just read that the decent young band KALEO from Iceland who opened a couple of shows for the Stones in 2019 (I saw them at Pasadena and Glendale) have postponed their US tour again, pushing the dates to 2022. I saw the Glendale AZ show and really enjoyed Kaleo!

My Prague litho just arrived - SUPER fast delivery. Came via Fed Ex (I think I ordered it less than a week ago). Came in a large full size well packaged shipment (not rolled up). A bit of an odd size - 23-1/2 x 16-1/2", but hoping I don't need to get a custom frame. Anyways - I'm happy with it!

I just ordered the Prague one (and just got an email saying it's shipped a day later). Sure - they are overpriced, but for me (as others have stated) I just see it as a nice souvenir of an awesome night and great show in a fantastic (if crowded) city I was lucky to visit - so will bring some very nice memories every time I look at it.

The Celebrating Bowie streaming show had technical problems last night and has been rescheduled to tonight (Sat. Starting @ 9pm EST), so if anyone is interested, you can still (buy - $28) and tune in.

For those not aware, there is a big streaming concert tonight for his birthday with a whole bunch of guest stars. Like $29 with the small service fee, and you can watch for 24 hours: Also this weekend, you can stream his play Lazarus:

Nick Hornby is terrific! High Fidelity one of my all time favorite books. All of them are good. He has a pretty new one out now too.

Only 1 - Gail Ann Dorsey and Donny McCaslin - Bowie’s longtime bass player, and the sax player from his Blackstar album. For each of the past years since his passing PhilaDElphia has a Philly Loves Bowie Week. Great event. Only time I managed to see McCaslin - and man, that boy can blow! Really made me appreciate the Blackstar album even more. Of course the list of shows I was ‘supposed’ t

I was at UMass Amherst - I recall hearing a song (Imagine I think?) as I walked up the steps to visit my GF. I don't recall specifically who told me. As it happens, the following weekend was when we had tickets to see Bowie in the Elephant Man on Broadway. A bunch of us went to Central Park the day after (12/14) and joined thousands and thousands of people, just standing there, crying.

A decent blu-Ray with 5.1 surround sound speakers can be had for relatively shore $. Opens up a whole new world of listening and watching possibilities.

Not helping with the question, but can say that Positano ranks very high on the most beautiful place I've ever seen.

Watched the whole AC show over the past couple of nights. IMO, the 2nd half or so (starting with Clapton) is much better. It's kind of as close as the Stones got to being a 'Vegas act' in my view - it's all just a bit too slick. In Bowie terms, this was their Glass Spider tour. That said - Keith is very good throughout. I didn't like Mick's hair though- LOL. No o

Maybe mentioned somewhere in this thread, but The just released Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets CD/DVD is fantastic - all pre-Dark Side early PF.

One small quibble - wish the CD Box had a sleeve for Brussels instead of just the CD in a slot in the book. The vinyl looks to have a proper (& cool looking) sleeve. A small thing, perhaps - but seems like a corner that just didn’t need to be cut.

Quotevertigojoe I think when your hired hand extra keyboard player ends up with 2 solo tunes in the middle of the setlist its fair to say his influence has perhaps gone too far. Let’s just be glad Chuck doesn’t get two songs!

I drove an hour each way from south of Boston up to Salem NH to get the a super Deluxe CD box at Bull Moose - $119, so I saved about $40. Very happy with it so far - only disappointing thing is I wish there was a CD sleeve for Brussels - it’s just in a cut out in the box.

thanks again Ironbelly. I did finally see (w. a magnifying glass) a tiny ifpi B404. And almost looks like a Chinese symbol next to it. So yeah - looks like mine is counterfeit. But - from what you just wrote - anyone who has the real thing and a 'fake' able to tell the difference sound wise?

IMHO - if I had to pick one - I'd say Satisfaction is the greatest rock and roll song of all time. First heard it when I was about 5 years old, and that turned me onto music. I had to have that song - at 5! A couple favorite versions - the scene in Gimme Shelter with the whole 'and I need a good woman, to keep me Satisfied." And I think the Hyde Park Sweet Summer Sun version is

Quotekovach Will Japanese blurays play in all countries? I believe I have a few old foreign DVDs that won't play in my old made for U.S. DVD player, didn't know if any technological limitations apply to these. BluRays seems to be pretty generic - I've bought Japanese BluRays (Havana Moon I think?) and no issues. DVDs are more where they can have different regions. You should

QuoteSighunt Thank you all for your great recommendations. I spent a lot of today hearing samples of your album recommendations and I have to say that the Nassau show from 76 is my top pick so far. It rocks! (David Live is coming in at a close 2nd!) Nassau is my personal favorite. I'm a huge Bowie fan (saw him almost 60 times) and that 3/17/76 show (a few days before) in Boston is my favo
