Just blown away when I read the news. The end of an era indeed. Charlie was absolutely the glue that kept it all together. What a legacy. Truly one of the greatest. Such a unique drummer and man. Irreplaceable. Thus ends the mighty Rolling Stones. This one hurts.

QuoteNICOS Always thought it was Peter........ Wow!! Great find! I love it when new Peter Green era FM footage surfaces (new to me anyway). I still think it probably is Peter Green playing most of the guitar parts on this track. My recollection is that this was his masterpiece composition (along with Albatross). It may be that Danny is just doing it for the video because Peter was do

I caught this little tidbit a couple of days ago as I'm subscribed to the official YouTube channel. Note the Heartbreaker post... Not much, but I'm wondering if it's a small early bit of promotion for the upcoming reissue. With the lack of any GHS reissue news lately, it's worth noting.

Can anyone post a quick review of this since the affordable version just came out this weekend ? I'm really considering picking this up, but having some good insight beforehand would help. Thanks

QuoteTravelinMan QuoteMathijs QuoteS.T.P QuoteMathijs Won't ever happen again. He and his manager blew it. I understand he is now retired completely from the music scene, not even playing guitar at home anymore. Mathijs I know his manager sent out some emotional outburst after the rather unproffesional invitation to the exibition, but what are you refering to regarding MT? They both

QuoteErwinH No news, but he's doing OK. I sure hope you're right that he's doing ok. I'm also hoping he (and Bill Wyman) has some involvement in the upcoming Goats Head Soup Reissue like he had on the EOMS reissue. He shined even more on GHS in my opinion.

Quotemtaylor Bring Mick Taylor on. I second that! I love that he was brought in for the EOMS reissue for Plundered My Soul. He made that track truly shine!

Quoteachilles77 DVD release date: Oct 1 I was hoping it would be much sooner, but oh well. Hopefully there'll be a blu-ray release also. I'll be picking this one up for sure! I'm hoping to preorder this soon, but I can't find any vendors/outlets showing this available on Blu-ray. Has anyone seen that availability? thanks

Haven't heard this in a few years since it was taken down from YouTube... Great to hear it again! This one is also always great to come back to... (makes you wonder about the possibility of proshot stuff from this tour)

I am wondering about the legitimacy of this upcoming release. It says "Fleetwood Mac have given their full approval for the release of these tapes", but is this just another bootleg, and is the stuff on here truly previously unreleased?? Comes out in about 1 month... Thoughts?

QuoteashExciting news for Green fans is that there should be a book out (maybe later this year) detailing every extant recording involving PG up to his last (uncredited) Fleetwood Mac session. I've helped a little bit with the research and from what i've seen the author has done an excellent job. I think he's just finishing off and then self publishing or getting it published. I

Thanks ash. Definetly looking forward to it! Been listening to the new volume a lot. Some killer stuff on this one also. Peter Green just blows my mind again. I'm so glad this stuff came out, otherwise we would never really know or appreciate how great a live band the Peter Green era of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers was.

Quoteachilles77 LOVE Peter Green and the original Fleetwood Mac!! I'll be getting this. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention.

Quoteash He's trying to get a publisher. It's finished. May end up being self-published. I'll let you know when it's gonna happen. Maybe he could try this: Might be a good option for someone in his position. Thanks for the update. Can't wait til it comes out!

/\ Very interesting Teddy. So what does all this mean for the possiblity of a future complete MSG 69 show materializing on dvd?? Too many hoops for the Stones to jump through to make it worth their time?? I hope not.

QuoteDelticsHere is the track list of the video: “Midnight Rambler” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” “I’m Free” Eulogy “I’m Yours & I’m Hers” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” “Honky Tonk Women” “Love in Vain” “Sympathy for the Devil” Ahem... The omission is unforgivable. No reason it couldn't have been in a sub menu as a bonus or something.
