QuoteHairball QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash I will stay at The Whitehall Hotel, is that a safe area in Chicago? Safe and very nice area - just a block from the 360 Tower and Miracle Mile, and a couple more blocks to Lake Michigan. i believe the stones stayed at the whitehall in the mid-70's; we met bill wyman standing out in front and chatted with him for quite a while. nice guy!

we saw blondie last week with the brian wilson holiday show and thought his performances were the highlights of the show. especially blondie's rendition of "oh, holy night" - very soulful and beautiful!

What day does everyone think will be the best, I was thinking Saturday or Sunday night between the Chicago shows. People might need Saturday night off to recover so Sunday night? just a thought - there's a really terrific stones' tribute band in chicago named beggars banquet, if anyone's interested in booking them for a party. they are really good, they're nice guys, and honestly, they really capture the sound and essence of the stones. you can go to their website at stonestributeband.com for an idea of what they're like.

QuoteDEmerson Chris - thinking of flying in for the 2nd show from Boston. Flights are cheap enough - it's hotels that are $$ in Chicago. Not a cheap one, but are you at all familiar with the Marriott Marquis on S. Prairie Ave.? Looks to be fairly near Soldier Field. Walking distance? (I'm a Marriott points guy, so...) i'm not familiar with that hotel, but i see that they'

i live in chicago and wouldn't recommend staying so far south for the concerts. it will be difficult to get transportation after the show. have you looked at the palmer house hotel downtown? it's an historic hotel, not too expensive, and you could probably walk to soldier field. it's near the lake and many sightseeing opportunities in chicago.

we stopped in at this bar on monday. sadly, the stage area is now a storage room. there are some stones' references; the bar itself has quotes from stones' songs painted on; there's a "tattoo you" mick mural on one wall; and there's a few drinks named after stones' songs. but they play no stones' music; the bartender said that earlier some patrons ha

glad that you're planning to catch beggars banquet tonight! the link for the dock is thedockatmontrosebeach.com for the exact address. it is right off the lake, about 10 minutes north of navy pier. we'll try to save some tables near the front of the stage; you're welcome to join us! and you may want to bring an extra sweater; chicago is notably "cooler by the lake&qu

i believe chuck berry did open for the stones a few times on the 1969 usa tour, standing in for b. b. king. odd that he didn't join the stones for a song on those dates, but i guess they didn't really do that in those days.

Quotetimbernardis did anybody else see the exhibit at the rocknroll hall of fame and how do u think that compared to exhibitionism? plexi i saw both shows and can't say that exhibitionism was better than cleveland, first of all, approaching the hall of fame, all the outdoor wonderful speakers were playing stones' music. also all thru the hall, only stones. it was on three leve

i'm delighted to report that chicago's premier rolling stones tribute band, beggars banquet, will be performing on navy pier just a stone's throw from exhibitionism on saturday, july 1, 5:30 p.m., at the miller lite beer garden. these guys are terrific, and i'm sure a good time will be had by all. navy pier is a great place to experience our lakefront in the summer. there

my husband and i just got back to chicago from nyc to see exhibitionism. we stayed at the avalon hotel, which is in midtown and not so close to the show but a short cab ride away. wonderful room with 2 double beds, sitting area, nice bath and shower with double sink, refrigerator. our 6 nights averaged about $200 u.s. per night. great location (near empire state building) with restaurants, br

i've seen many stones tribute bands in my life, but by far the best is beggars banquet, a tribute band based in chicago. not only are they very talented musicians, but they totally embrace the humor and onstage presence of the stones in concert. we're very fortunate to have them here!

i know mick does. some years ago, we were in cleveland to see the stones. the night before the show we arrived at the same hotel the stones were staying at. my husband and i wanted to have a nice dinner, but as it was after 9pm on a sunday, most restaurants were closed. the concierge at the hotel informed us that, although their restaurant normally would be closed, they were staying open la

great show. i can remember how thrilled i was for them to do this tour after such a long dormant stretch. i also remember what an emotional moment it was when the five stones took that last bow together at the end. but am i the only one who thinks everything was sort of "sped up"? to me it seems like what they used to do with chuck berry's music, recording it and then replayi
