Liked reading this excellently written book Dawn. What fortitude you have had throughout your interesting life; many sad times, but happy ones too. This book is also worth purchasing if anyone is interested in London in the early sixties, along with so many great historical pictures. Many of the Stones early venues are pictured as well. Blessings to you and your family, Dawn. By the way, I receive

Have just read the sample offered by iBooks and soon as I finish posting am going purchase the book. As a fan of Brian's music since 1964 (especially after hearing the harmonica on Not Fade Away), very much looking forward to reading the book. Thank you for sharing your story and best wishes to you and your family.

Was it Brian playing lead guitar in the song Tell Me, such a nice solo on the long version? Thank you in advance.

"Tightrope Ride" released by the Doors after Morrison's death, mentions Brian's name, originally thought it was written by Jim Morrison but come to find out it was written by Ray Manzarek.

QuoteDandelionPowderman I thought it was beautiful! Get past the name, and watch the actual performance... Loved this performance also, very sweet, one of the nicest songs written by Keith and Mick so long ago, they harmonized quite well, though I wish the mix was a bit higher on Taylor's voice. Boy, what venomous comments by most supposedly Stones fans, it just must be kool to knock Taylo

Quotevirgil QuoteBlue Just a suggestion, but Woburn, Wakefield, Reading are still about 30 - 40 min to Boston, Saugus is much closer than the cities mentioned above, they have a Red Roof Inn very reasonable (probably less than 100 dollars) right on Rte 1, only about a 15 min drive in right over Tobin Bridge and you are there. Even fairly cheap with a Taxi...like a mentioned before, The Wyndham Ho

Hopefully with enough rehearsal time they can do something really special. I am cautiously optimistic. Are you going again to try to see MT again?? Hope you can make it this time Yes, since he is officially announced this time I think I can d

QuoteCindyC Quotevirgil Woburn 10 miles north of Boston has some nice business class hotels and trains that go right to The TD garden. Step off the train and you are in the Garden. Virgil, yeah that's what I was thinking too. Woburn, Wakefield, Reading. All go right to N.Station. Right off 128 which is easy access to the mass pike. Just a suggestion, but Woburn, Wakefield, Reading

Hello, originally from a city called Chelsea just over the Tobin bridge from Boston, about two miles from Boston Garden. They have two new hotels that are pretty nice, with reasonable prices. the area is a bit run down , but the rates reflect this as an alternative to high priced Boston. They are called the Wyndham and the other is called Residence Inn (a Marriott Hotel) with very easy access to

Quotenightskyman QuoteBlue I don't know what's wrong with me, but I like Satanic much better than Pepper, and always did. I don't hear a really nice melody on ANY song from Pepper, maybe Lucy in the Sky during the refrain but that's it...but the Stones managed to put out several, at least four anyway, Psychadelic songs with great melodies..(Rainbow, 2000 Light Years, Citadel,

No real reason to bash Grace Slick, especially because of her age and because she doesn't dye her hair, very superficial criticism of one of the few very good female rock stars of the sixties who helped open the doors for other female artists. ( There weren't that many back then). This is simply her opinion, whether you agree with it or not, Grace, for sure, was never one to be shy abou

Love One More Shot....especially the sound of the background lead guitar, and Mick's bad boy vocals like the old days, and the melody, NICE!...not a big fan of Doom and Gloom.

Quotestonesrule Skynyrd worked all the time...big gigs amd small. Blue, thought you might enjoy the following Boston memory that I have always enjoyed. In 1980 the RCB band tour bus pulled into the parking lot in Bostom of a venue I have forgotten. Maybe the Orpheum. Allen, Gary, Leon and Billy were rather overwhelmed that a large group of young boys were waiting for them that afternoon w

Quotestonesrule Well Elmo, you know how the haters are here about "personal experience..." I did assume it was Macon Coliseum but so many cities are dumping the old tried and true places I was afraid it might be gone. Glad it's not. Saw Elton John way back in 1976 at Foxboro Stadium in Massachusetts. A friend really liked him and asked me to go, and was so surprised...what a great show he put on. If I remember correctly the stadium was pretty well filled and even though it was 1976, the sound was really good to the best of my recollection. I do remember some pretty outrageous outfits (at the time), like the Lady Gaga of the
