Legged it to Action records and they’d sold out. 10 copies 1 pperseron hoover, the shop man told me one customer went out, put on a disguise and came back in to buy another. Shop owner was fuming as only realised once he’d bought the second copy.

One thing I do hope for is no brickwalling of the finished album. My ears couldn’t take it last time. Thankfully the atmos version didn’t have that and it’s a far better listening experience for my ears. If you don’t have an atmos speaker set up, find a mixed down atmos version of HD (they’re out there) it’s still well worth finding for sure.

QuoteCristiano Radtke No problem, Professor! As for the "60s vibe" that has been commented, I can hear that in Whole Wide World. If there's more like that for the upcoming album, it'll be wonderful. ‘Driving me to hard’, and ‘Get Close’ aside from being 2 of my favs from HD both have a defo 60s whiff to me. DMTH reminds me of songs like ‘dandelion’ & ‘ruby Tuesday’,

QuoteStonedRambler Quoteskytrench Yes StonedRambler, seems like people are so focused on the glimmer twins, that they forget Charlie, Bill, Brian, Ian, Nicky etc, who were all crucial to making their hits. Yes - one crucial and often overlooked trait of the Stones is that they were never shy to work with brilliant people to elevate their art to higher levels. As great as Mick and Keith are - wi

I’ve wondered recently whether the decision to call it a day has triggered the writing of some new songs they’ve since recently recorded? Sometimes creativity can be triggered by the most unexpected things

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteKoen The question seems to be, how about an album with leftover songs, just like Tattoo You. They did. That’s not a released standalone album. Nor is the fantastic ‘some girls’second disk from the super deluxe. Both great, but definitely NOT stand alone albums (although could’ve been, particularly the uber strong second disk ‘some girls’

Tricky one. A steady collection series of strong songs / pieces of music, covering 45 mins that compliment each other. Whether some are brand new, or unfinished, instrumental (like this one Instrumental Jam), right up to fully formed fully ‘finished’ tracks (scarlet), or tracks that are recorded (like plundered my soul) stretching over years or whatever. And not compressed to death too ple

QuoteGasLightStreet It's unlikely since LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... was released in 2017 on CD. QuoteMathijs They did overdubs for the L&G movie, and they did overdubs for a possible LP release. Jagger wanted to have two sides, one with the Stones and one with Stevie Wonder, which Klein did not want and he vetoed the release. Same issue with 1973 tour: they wanted to release a mix of Wembl

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteFather Ted Are there any legal issues that would prevent the 1972 live album being released today? From 1977 and on they could release new live renditions of ABKCO stuff. Out of the gloom of possibly no future tours anymore, or even (worse case scenario) the stopping of playing live anymore. Could it give better chance to the releasing of things like this? That wo

Quoteretired_dog QuoteTheflyingDutchman Quoteslewan Jeff Beck in the Rolling Stones is like genius playing with bloody amateurs. There surely is a reason why Mick Taylor quit… That's an exaggeration to me, despite the difference in level. Jeff Beck and the Stones got along very well. Listen to "Going Down" in 2012. That's a guitar party on stage, Wood, Richards, Jagger

Ahhh it’s old but it’s a recurring theme I too like to visit often. 2012-2014 When hearing the 3 guitar line up of current Oasis and how great they sound, on a guitar front it’s possibly the best version live of oasis. it still bugs me the stones didn’t put the shift /prep in back then to create the dynamics/space for all 3 guitarists playing together more. Particularly with Keith at that p

QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotemaumau Yeps, really looking forward the Clifton Chenier's cover! The glimpse I heard was really promising. The whole project is. As for Mess it up, I feel the same, though live seems it worked fine and funny. But on record I still skip it, and it is the only one I skip Mess It Up wasn’t one of my favorite Hackney Diamonds tracks, but I really did like it live in

Quote24FPS QuoteMathijs Well, I doubt many people attending a Stones gig these days will have heard about Brian Jones or Mick Taylor. They probably know Mick and Keith, and maybe that guy Ron Woods. Mathijs Believe it. I was at one of the 2013 Los Angeles shows with Taylor. They started playing Midnight Rambler and one girl said, "That's Mick Taylor." The other girl said, &qu
