There may be a hand full of gigs next year but it's pretty much over.

We've known about him not wanting to fly for years so that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. As to why he played with them last December in rehearsal, for all we know it was just to get footage for the upcoming documentary. If he plays with the band live again, it will most likely be for a one-off big gig. It won't be for a series of shows. The Stones probably won't even

Out of Tears should be on that list. The slide solo is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, thing(s) hes ever recorded as a Rolling Stone.

I've always thought this was a pretty cool show, warts and all. Keith's guitar sound has a certain bite to it on tracks like If You Can't Rock Me that he should have stuck with.

I'd actually reccomend the "Singles Collection: The London Years" compilation if you can find it. It's a three disc set and it offers a fairly good overview of the Brian Jones era, which is sometimes overlooked. This set serves as a good starting point for "early Stones". Album wise, if we have to stick to three, I would reccomend Sticky Fingers, Some Girls, and T

QuoteCousinC Quote71Tele QuoteCousinC As much as I love the Taylor-Stones I think Wyman is quite right here. What I saw of Taylor lately he's no win for a Rockband anymore.Plus we don't know about his health situation.Think he just keeps playing because he has to for a living. Of course it's not much better with Keith. But without Keith no Stones. But wasn't there a comment f

QuoteMightyStonesStillRollin50I view each song as an experience. Either I enjoy the experience or not. Of course, some experiences are more enjoyable than others, and vice versa. I don't trouble myself whether a song "swings", "rocks", or "rolls", etc.. It's how it makes me feel at the moment.

I don't know why anyone ever expected a tour with Bill. The guy stopped wanting to do tours and being a Rolling Stone 20 years ago. At age 75, I would think he has even less interest. If Bill is involved at all, it will be one big blowout gig in England and for all we know, one big blowout gig is all the entire band has left in them. It might be all Keith is able to do and it might be all t

Quoteswiss Wondering: does anyone know what the difference is between Chevy Metal and Foo Fighters? Chevy Metal is a side cover band that members of Foo Fighters play in. Taylor Hawkins is always present on drums, and when the other members of Foo Fighters are available they join him and when they aren't, his friends fill in.

Look, I love the Stones. We all do. That's why we're here. At their best, they capture a certain feel that no other band has or probably ever will. But one thing I'm getting tired of is when other bands get dissed on here because they "rock but they don't roll like the Stones", or "they don't swing like the Stones", and whatever else people will throw

Quoteab I still prefer it in B. And Foo Fighters just don't do it for me. Dave Grohl is an awesome drummer, but a complete pretender as a band leader. Think Phil Collins with tats and hair. Why do you prefer it in B? And even when he's taking a shit Dave Grohl is cooler than Phil Collins.

Woah, I just realized something! When Mick sings "With what you know it should be easy" I think it's a hidden message. Look at what we know; the Stones were all in New York recently...this year is their 50th anniversary...so with what we know it should be easy to see that THERE'S A TOUR COMING! That sly dog thought he could get by me. Not a chance! See...he sang this one for a

If it's "much more recent" than Atlantic City '89 as Gazza claims, I am going to predict we get a show from the Licks Tour with an emphasis on lesser played songs.

It has never been just about the music to me. I could give a rip how technically perfect a musician is. It's about how much joy is delivered. The personalities have a lot to do with it. Mick Taylor is in fine playing form. Keith is the problem. And they are not about to replace or go on the road without Keith Richards. And playing 10 night stands or so in major cities is more realistic than another massive world tour. These guys are too old to do that anymore. I imagine though, in the United States at least, it would only be 3 cities or so. Most likely New York, Chicago, and
