QuoteHMS QuotePhillyFAN MT is gone. The band rolls on without him. And the band imo rolls better without him, in hindsight MT became more and more a brake pad for the band, one can hear soome fine examples for that on GHS/IORR. Maybe yet another album with MT would have killed the band. He literally sucked the energy out of the band. The energy returned with Ronnie´s arrival. This is complete

Very rudimentary, but importantly he got the guitar/amp tone and feel right so the parts on Monkey Man for example serve the song very well

Ah jeez I don’t want to hear hoochie coochie man again in my lifetime. And that acoustic Layla bores me to tears now. Surely there’s room for Motherless Children in there somewhere

Listen to the disastrous Black Crowes album that has his name on it. Those songs also work well live, but the production on that Crowes album makes them sound like a different band, and not a very good one.

I’ll get destroyed for this, but I wouldn’t spend any more money on them either. I don’t think they should retire or shouldn’t be playing, but they’ve seen enough of my money over the years. Ticket prices are just too much..and they’re happy to stock up the bank accounts. Meet & Greet?? No thanks. In fact I didn’t even bother with the exhibition. Just can’t be bothered anymore.

I don't understand this thread, all these people saying "Congratulations Mick" as if he'll somehow appreciate the sentiment. Who gives a shit, it's his private life. Let's talk about what amp and mic he pushed his harp through on the new album!

Mick Taylor is a very haughty boy!! QuoteHMS I dont know any other group who gave an ex-member a guest spot like the Stones did. So they were indeed very generous to give MT the opportunity to make a few bucks. He spent some 20 minutes on stage at every gig - a lot of time considering he is only an ex-member who left them out of the blue when they were to record a new album and go on tour in t

QuoteNaturalust @#$%& I'm hurt by this loss. RIP Scott. Thanks for the great tunes. Love and sympathies to his family and friends. So sad. I was hoping he'd at least get another crack at Stone Temple Pilots. Too young

I was born in 1972, so not around then - but I think its a fantastic album. It has some stunning songs on it - Can't Find My Way Home, Presence of the Lord for example. As far as debut albums go - not too shabby at all. I have read about all the hype - but to me I wonder if Blind Faith, like Derek and the Dominos, was a victim of Eric Clapton's restlessness or boredom. Both those gro

Yeah I love this song - ethereal masterpiece is a good description. I remember at the time this was the one song off that album that really stood out to all my casual stones fan mates..

Wow 113 pages. My own 2 cents - I am in Australia. Seen the Stones only half a dozen times here in Australia plus London and Dublin aswell. I paid more than $1000 for 2 tickets to see them on the recent visit to Sydney to see Midnight Rambler. Not to say I didn't enjoy the rest of the show, and not to say I don't respect/admire the rest of the band. I am a Stones nutjob since I first go

QuoteGetondown I have 12 friends....we were all willingly fleeced of $600 per ticket to see MT as part of the Stones. We saw only a few songs. We will not be going to any shows on this tour. We have been to hundreds of shows over the last 40 years. Seeing MT come back was worth it. Without MT they are kind of a Vegas act - all choreographed. When Taylor left the Stones it was a tragedy

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteStoneburst No, he's just delivered: Thanks. Absolutely zilch, nothing whatsoever, of news. He could have shared the non-news way earlier, instead of dragging this farce out. He tried to make himself important. Sad... Yeah but you have to wonder....assuming MT is not at all ill as this now suggests....what planet is Keith on? Apart from Planet Keith tha

QuoteLuxuryStones I hope he goes solo and just plays focussed. He's playing beautiful here. Better than anything he did with the Stones on their last tour, imo. Totally agree. And the weird thing with this is they would have had hardly any rehearsal for this, and it is just sublime. The Stones could have used him so much better. I hope he gets out and plays now with a good band and

Why on earth would Ronnie Wood from the Faces and the Stones give an endorsement to either this appalling show OR the latest Cowell flavour of the month mass market pop phenomenon? He seems to have become a bit of a media tart - award shows, movei premieres, fashion shows..what next Ronnie, game shows? Oh no you did that last night already.

I was there, it was fantastic. Only one slight gripe - MT on a few more songs would have made it even better (for me)...but it was a great show. I was really surprised at how good Keith's singing was. YGTS is not a particular favourite of mine, but it was fantastic. Ronnie played really great slide on that. Keith played really well overall, so did the whole band. My wife has always considere
