I had no idea that she was so influential. I just thought that she was talented and beautiful. What a terrific tribute.

Keith has no interest in copying guitarists whose music doesn't interest him in the slightest. That's the distinction I believe. I'm sure that he couldn't copy a death-metal shredder guitarist or Frank Zappa or Wes Montgomery, and I don't believe that he'd want to do so. Good for him! He is specialized in muscular rock and roll riffs, raffs, and twangs. Ch

Instant buy for me. That live show from London in 1992 is what hooks me like a mackerel. I'd rather own this than be married to Pamela Anderson for fifteen minutes. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1869

QuoteRockman You too spent the night in Barstow? How so? I stayed at the Motel6. I heard nothing but the high- and -low pitch screech and scruff and skrongk of the rusty oversized toy trains whistling and heaving and puffing and moaning in the distance. This went on until 3 am. Thank God that it stopped for at least three or four hours until it resumed at 7 am. The manager said that '

I thought it was a great show with "Happy", "Honky Tonk Women", "19th Nervous Breakdown", "Rocks Off", and a great "Midnight Rambler." I was high up in the nosebleed section so the boomy, echoey sound was my doing -- but hey I had to pay for my son's ticket as well. Without him, I never would have went. It was very difficult to find our se

I just snagged two terrific nosebleeds for $250 for me and my son. Last-minute deal. I saw the first part of the second LA show. I never got to see the second half of the set. Now it's time to set the record straight. I must see Keith doing "Connection." Damn, I love that song! I'm not holding any hope for "Happy" however; that's too bad because it's

He made those big fat Gauloises memorable. When I die, I'd like a big fat Gauloise in my mouth and a doting blonde hovering all over me. Not a bad way to go.... Charles Baudealaire 1821-1867

I saw him wave from the back seat of his limo to me and the other fans in Dublin as we queued in 2004 at The Point. I also saw a pair of live shows at Ronnie Scott's of him and his jazz band. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

I never thought that I would have said this one week ago: I hope this tour is aborted. It's not about the music. It's not about people's lives. It's about Mick and Keith getting filthy rich under the guise that they're helping the economy somehow by protecting the jobs of low wage earners. I can smell that dump and see the flies all the way from across the Atlantic O

This is the only Stones show on the entire West Coast unless of course a Bay Area show is added. (The Stones HAVE to do another show there if possible--the fans are too rabid over there.) There have been a few Stones shows where it was hard to get a ticket--Phoenix was the most difficult in 2005. San Diego Sports Arena in late 2004 (I think!) was tough too. And then there was that one MSG show

I'll call my credit card and make a fraudulent report first. So I installed the Ticketbastard app. It wanted to know whether I wanted a Big Mac, a 20% off coupon for some Bed Bath & Beyond bullshit until--drum roll--asking whether I wanted to buy more tickets! I think that the government would do a better job at dispensing tickets than these scat-eating bacterially-infected virus-ridd

So I have to download an app on my phone to access my tickets? Wow! How complicated! I don't think I have enough space on my phone for such tomfoolery. Why don't the Ticket Bastard Nazis just fork over the tickets? Grrrrrr! Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

Unfortunately, that's probably what I and my son will do. There will be some people who need to offload their tickets whether it's at the show or on CL. $500 is my budget for two half-way decent tickets where we can at least watch the Pecker on the Jumbotron pull his mug a few times and make zoinked-out facial expressions while Keith prowls around like the living Dead with a Gibson an

I would like to take my son to see them with me. I don't want to pay more than $250 per ticket, but I refuse to sit in a crummy seat (i.e. behind the stage, etc.). I wouldn't mind two seats not too far away from the b-stage. Do you guys think that I might have luck scoring two cheap tickets on the day of the show? I've always been lucky before, but I once got swindled at MSG ba

I love the Stones' sound the way it is. I don't consider it sloppy. It's more freewheeling, weaving, jamming. It's its own creature just as much as the Dead's sound was its own creature. Either one likes it or not. I find the band's music absolutely irresistible. Charles Baudelaire April 9, 1821 - August 31, 1867
