QuoteHairball Blue and Lonesome would be an appropriate last album - they started with covers and then ended with covers. Will you guys stop being weird? I've had to wade through a gizillion posts in this very thread over a period of years now, and now this? Blue and Lonesome is not their last album, and it's not appropriate as such as some kind of bookends thing, and they are not go

I decided the proper scientific name was more dignified than "peanut worm". I took an invertebrate anatomy course in college around 1998 and came across this interestingly named phylum. I wondered why they got their own phylum and am now not exactly surprised to see that they don't really deserve that distinction and are really just a subgroup of the annelids (segmented worms).

QuoteMadcap Has anyone who pre-ordered the LP from the official store received it yet? I haven’t even gotten notice that it’s been shipped. Been waiting for a week for a reply to my email about a defective shirt I bought at the same time too, not thrilled about the bob Dylan store customer service so far. I got the notification 2 days ago. Not yet in my hands but hopefully soon.

All due respect, BV, but I would not recommend putting all your eggs in the vaccine basket. Hopefully we'll get one. Another coronavirus (you may have heard of it) called SARS eventually and quickly just vanished. No effective vaccine was ever developed. Hopefully too this will all just...fade away. There is another viral illness called influenza (no relation to SARS-cov-2, aka coronavirus)

Quotebv They will not tour until 2022 at the earliest. That is my best prediction. Bjornulf I'll take your word for it. I'm just floored. I guess I'll see if I can get a refund. Hadn't considered it yet. I'll save my opinion on the idiocracy of the whole situation for another forum. What a disaster. I'm beyond angry. Let's look at the bright side... Ne

QuoteNilsHolgersson I'm going to bed now. This was a great day. When I woke up I knew nothing. Then I saw the thread here saying "new single tomorrow". It turned out to be true. Not tomorrow but even today. Now we have it already, video and all. Gonna watch it one more time. Every day the Stones release a new single is a great day! Agreed. Just the boost we need right now.

It's great. Catchy. One of those songs where you find yourself humming it later and want to get back to it. Elements of Miss You, Love is Strong, Feel on Baby, Out of Control, Beast of Burden, One More Shot, you name it. It's a Stones tune.

Quotemickschix Anyone who is minimizing the impact that this virus will have has got to be in total denial You are the one who got me riled up in the first place, lol. I refrained for days before posting. I tried. But then I thought of myself and my son who may not get to go see the Stones for the last time. So selfish of me. Oh, the humanity. The @#$%& plague is upon us. I'm

QuoteChris Fountain Fox News is reporting a 30% Death Rate of Infected in Italy. Source was not cited. Link please, Chris? No source cited by you, or by Fox News, or both? I'm hereby reporting a 90% rate of lack of critical thinking skills by the public and hysterical media. Throwing a number out but there is about a 30% death rate in the ICU from any cause. Why? Because they are crit

QuoteMileHigh People can certainly look at differing views. If say the pandemic reaches 30% of the US population and the death rate is 1% then that means that about one million US citizens will die. That's a lot more than 34,200. You will see that the death rate will prove to be an order of magnitude lower or more than that currently stated. You will see it come down. They aren't swa

QuoteJadedFaded It is vital that everyone take precautions now. Most people are not taking even simple precautions. At the gym, I see few people washing their hands for 20 seconds. These simple precautions are needed before there are many known cases in an area. otherwise, we won’t “flatten the curve” and health systems will be overwhelmed. Everything Bjornulf has said is completely true. Sorr

The celebrities taking their seats at Wembley blows my mind. It looks to be pretty far away from the stage and can't have sounded good. Then you have to crane your neck the whole time due to the seating orientation. Either that or fight for a GA spot in the front, which I can't see Sting doing, lol. I guess not too much has changed with the big stadium shows except for video screens. No

Most of them have been really good: 1975 Lotus Stage Voodoo Lounge Steel Wheels Bridges to Babylon 1981-82 outside stage with the cool backdrop The current one with 4 video screens Anything with a B stage Some not so memorable: Urban Jungle 14 on Fire/On Stage, etc. with the toilet bowl pit. 1978 Anything prior to 1975 I don't really like the Bigger Bang stage with the w

QuoteMelBelli Quoterogerriffin Can anyone transcript what Keith and Ronnie saiys when they re-start Love in Vain in Stripped 1996 album? TIA I *think* Keith is saying that he didn’t get the right arpeggio, but he (purposefully?) butchers the word. Some kind of inside joke with Ronnie, I’m guessing. Favorite version of "Love in Vain" by The Rolling Sones? All of them. Keith

Looking forward to it. I lived in Austin at the time of the Zilker Park show and walked there from my house. But no more, so I'll be camping with friends in the "Honky Tonk Dry Camping" area. Hmm. Wonder what "dry" means... We will be on the Silver Lawn.

I will also be in Pit 2 with my son who will have just turned 11. Time to go back and look at all those threads about the "pit experience" that I didn't read in years past thinking I would never actually be able to do something like that, lol. Could be my last show. Go big or go home.

Thanks for the great pictures, majomuc!!! I'm glad this show is so well documented. I wondered why I didn't spot myself and my group in the GA field picture, standing by the sign, but I realized I'm off in the distance by the other tower, lol.

Finally got home at 1AM after dropping everybody off seemingly all over the Houston area. One of the best shows they've done out of the 10 I've seen since 1994. I've certainly been closer, and that brings something extra to the experience, but I could tell even from way back in the GA floor that they brought something special tonight. Or should I say Mick Jagger did? Jagge

I can finally get excited! This show was supposed to be in the books already, but incredibly it is taking place and in our near future. I didn't dare look forward to it until today. There was an outside chance that I would have to miss the show due to work obligations, frustratingly just down the street in the med center, but now I have the all-clear. My wife and 10-year old son can&

Quotebv So to completely understand the term "goofing", Bill Wyman never did any "goofing" on stage, right? And Darryl is goofing a lot more than Bill ever did, I think I am getting the hang of it now. Bjornulf: The term "goofing", in the parlance of our times, could mean a couple of things, depending on context: 1)to act silly or 2)to stay off task wasting t

Quotenoughties ronnie`s goofing Is it true? I think I`ve heard about it. The current picture at this site`s home page possibly shows this. I highly doubt he is on the sauce (or whatever) again. There. I correctly interpreted the insinuation of the original post. Let's move on.
